No, I won't, as far as the specifications are concerned parang maliit lang ang difference niya,
but I would rather base my opinion too kung makikita ko sila side by side, but for now, I won't...  ;)

Cant do it side by side eh....... kawawa..... ;)

We tested 2 units side by side the other day w/several av group fanatics... ehem ehem. ;D

60hz vs 400hz
vierra 2 vs vierra 3
10,000 contrast vs 15,000 contrast
etc etc etc.......

alam mo naman ang electronics always a big leap in technology parang pioneer 427xg vs kuro 428xg! ;)

Ganun ba sir?  ;D

Well, with the advent of technology - guys like me who are on a budget would have to be content with a previous model as their prices have dropped to give way to the newer models. Understanding always that there will be newer & better models out there.........but just pay for its price ;D

So, does the 42pv70 still rocks?? ;D  At its current price of 50k+ - I guess it does. Did the pv80 finally beat the pv70? Naturally..............or Panasonic isnt doing their homework ;D
Is it worth 30k more - hmmm, thats subjective ::)

But then again, a 30k could always get you another 32" LCD for the bathroom :D ;D

Maybe the question should be: "Is there any retailer who will accept a trade-in"?

What i want to know from you guys is ur willingness to trade you old pv70 plus cash for the new pv80.

Your posts lack details. What we want to know from you:

Is the pv80 released na locally? How much? What's the specs? Link pls...
What do YOU think? Is it worth it?
What is your REAL objective for the trade-in? Any problems with pv70?
The trade-in + 25k, is this fom your own "guessing" or being actually offered by a seller?

It would be interesting, though, if indeed there will be a local dealer willing to accept trade-in of the pv70 with a pv80 ---> at only P25K additional cost ??? ??? ???
However, IMHO, with the sharp drop in plasma prices these days, it would be difficult to convince dealers to accept a trade-in.

COMPARISON between the two models ---

It would be interesting if there is a store willing to accept a trade-in.

If not, then would it still be interesting?  Or would it just be nonsense?

What is your REAL objective for the trade-in?

Now, THAT is interesting.

We have an LCD user who recommends Ansons, who has less than cordial relations with nemesis and E-reply.

He is now interested in the plasma model that has more units sold by nemesis and E-reply than any other retailer.

======================================================

Maybe the question should be: "Is there any retailer who will accept a trade-in"?

Perhaps e-reply and nemesis91 can answer that for u.

Why specifically those two?  They're not the only retailers...   ;)

i don't see how this can happen.

do the math

pv80 is being offered at 80k
pv70 last known price is 52k, let's make it 55k.

meron ba papayag na bayaran ng full price yung second hand pv70 mo to help you upgrade to pv80. no way.

btw, next week lalabas na rin pv80 sa mainstream stores, according to them, magmumura na presyo nila.

showed me the catalog they're going to release next week.

Eto ang gusto nating malaman:

What is your REAL objective for the trade-in?

Hmm....as far as I know steelcrazy owns the SONY BRAVIA 40" LCD ....thus not relavant to the Panasonic PV70 at all.

So, what's the story here bro? Another critical question is: Do you own the Panasonic PV70?

I hope you're not planning to buy the PV70 then in future will trade-in for the PV80?? ;D

Did they give you any hint on the price? Since Ansons ATC only followed the SRP of Panasonic Phil.
So it would still be cheaper to buy from sir nemesis.

Yeah that's more like it....trade in the old PV70 at 25k for the PV80 & pay the difference.

By then again as I asked:
