I've had both LCD and Plasma in the past. But never found a set that gave the Plasma picture and performance characteristics (such as during Sports or Action scenes) but LCD's ability to work in brightly lit rooms. This new set has the Anti-Reflectivecoating and much higher contrast specs that previous units lacked. Price is also great and now I here Pioneer are going to source from Panasonic I'm very happy I didn't spend more

lx77 - 2 hdmi / soft panel

lx80 - 2 hdmi / sd card / higher resolution / hard panel IPS Alpha same as their 700 series / Srs

I love the new anti-reflective coating more as opposed to the high contrast ratio. kase yung pic quality ng old model pwede mo i-adjust para medyo maging at par sa pv80. pero yung glare walang remedy unless off mo ilaw mo.

as promised, i will post my observations on the panasonic 42pv8 as soon as i have my unit...

these are coming from a previous 42pv70 user.

anyway, it was delivered kanina courtesy of theater works. (mr.jeff! thanks a lot! dapat may TF na ako sa publicity mo eh! hahaha!) excellent customer service again! unbeatable prices pa!

when it was first setup, noon kasi dumating, daylight. at first parang i thought...hmm, parang slight to no difference from the pv70, cable tv viewing to. so ok, sige tuloy lang watch ng tv...i'm not saying it's bad, i'm just looking for the advantages over the pv70 which is already a good unit.

then i decided to watch a movie in the evening...and eto na....

MY JAW LITERALLY DROPPED DOWN WITH ASTONISHMENT!

blacks were blacker compared to the PV70!
colors were more vibrant!
crisper and sharper pictures!
very detailed displays!

i have never seen a bang for the buck plasma this good!

i believe this is because of the higher contrast ratio, dynamic contrast and new G11 panel that makes the overall display so pretty...muntik na ko mapaluha sa tuwa while watching a movie! (to think na horror film pa ang pinapanood ko!)

pictures were soft on the eye even if you turn the contrast higher, 12 ft. away ako from the tv. pitch black room.

never had eye strain or fatigue on this unit..

...pero nangawit ang panga ko....kasi unconsciously nakangiti ako the whole time while watching! natuwa ako sa performance eh!

i've been through a lot of different displays, and i can say that i can spot the good points already.

definitely worth the upgrade!

and i am talking about SD performance pa lang!

can't wait to go hi-def!

Yes its very cheap kunti lang price diff sa pv70 - pv8 and get the most quality on this 11gen plasma.
Display discount is still going on a few units for the special rate. yung 42pv80 pa ubos na yung display discount maging regular price na after the last 3 units.

same lang ng dating 42pv70 but dont worry power consumption ng plasma now is the same lang w/the use of 40 inch. Sa una lang they'll use up their power after 15 mns half na yung consumption ng plasma. As in lcd example 180w constant from strat to finish.

both units maganda, i think 32lx700 (ips alpha) should be compared to 32lx800 (ips alpha) the 32lx80 is ips panel only not alpha yet.

price sulit pa din yung 32lx700, kaso wala na sa market only a few sa abenson. I still have one last unit at trinoma.

32le8 madami na, this one is a lot cheaper than the 32lx80.
