Are speaker cables/wires used in Hi Fi different from HT speaker cables/wires?
They're the same in basic design/purpose, though HiFi folks generally spend more per meter because of the predominant culture (and they usually run less cabling).
When you look at the product lines of most audio cable companies, the basic copper cables are usually marketed for HT, while the more exotic cables are marketed for HiFi use.
This is the same with interconnects, power cords, etc.
