Batman: Gotham Knight

So we won't pollute the R1 thread  ;D

Are the R3 features identical to the R1 set?

Also, was supposed to get this already but my suking Astrovision hasn't got the P650 (2-disc w/ comic book) version yet  :(

Is the extra P51 for the comic book worth it?

I'm really want to get this, I also wonder if the comic book is worth it.

This being a Warner DVD, I'm pretty confident this mirrors the R1 release.

Jas posted something hopeful over at the R1 subtopic.

I have not viewed the features yet, but I tried out the R3 disc menus & everything is identical to the R1, including the WW sneak peek & the 4 episodes from the Batman Animated Series.

Also, the booklet for the P650 edition seems to be a character guide rather than a real narrative comic book. Can't be sure as I opted to get the P599 DVD only edition.

I wonder what that character guide looks like. If it's shiny enough I'll probably fork over the extra pamasahe for it  ;D

The character guide's a miniaturized reprint of DK's Official Batman Guide.  Only a couple of pages spotlighting Batman, Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, Lucius Fox, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, Deadshot, some Bat-weapons, and the Batmobile were in there.

Is the character guide slipcased with the DVD or just vacuum sealed like Superman Returns?

The character guide is just vacuum sealed with the DVD. The R3 release has no slipcase.

Ok thanks.  If it was slipcased that would have made me get it definitely.  I'll just inspect the character guide then decide what to get.

I haven't seen the version with the character guide, seems to be in limited supply, at least initially...

That's weird. I've seen it in all Astro stores I've been too.

Already had my copy a couple of weeks before, the one with the character guide. It's a lot like the one for Superman Returns, albeit, thinner.

I used the plastic DVD cover that the P88 store sells to contain both the case and character guide.

I'm surprised at the quality of this release. Based on the contents of disc 1, it seems to mirror the R1 version. The material inside (teasers and such) aren't typical local promos. The Wonder Woman feature is awesome (Keri Russell is WW!) and the main menu background changes with every exit across the options, just like in the Star Wars prequel DVDs.
