Nice well-planned set-up.  :) Fan mo sigurado si ricky, who has an all-JBL line-up. Marami din ako JBL speakers.

Question lang: You have a center speaker sa floor and you also have 4 of those small Bose cubes acting as center channel speakers as well? Sabay sila lahat tumutunog?

Fan talaga ako ng jbl ;) Nice set-up Bro, speakers galore, ganda ng pagkakaayos mo ;) Mark pang matanda kasi yung JBL eh ;D

Official Jbl Guru kita ha bro? I can't collect them the way you do but I can probably get one pa minsan minsan.
So keep me in mind pag meron ka ng pinag sawaan.. ;D ;D ;D
Galing nga ng set up mo.

Why is that nga...for oldies ang Jbl?
Even with the modern day professional mobile outfits, those Jbl arrays do a pretty decent job sa mga concerts ha.
I would imagine that the youth would appreciate Jbl. ( needless to say, i'm not a youngster any longer, sa ganun na nga siguro, hehe )

Are there any other brand speakers that you favor?
One that works well if combined/mixed with Jbl's?
Or is this a taboo for you?  ;)

Thanks vtec3. Medyo old na rin ung Jbls ko. But i'm still happy with them. :D
I do consider the price for upgrade also and well, they're not cheap at all. ( compared to same class brands )
Napapaisip din ako sa price.
However, Jbl will most likely remain as my main choice. hehehe.
I did consider MK at one point though.

Lagi akong inaapi ni ricky ...  ;D

Baka malapit ko na ibenta ang JBL XPL-200 ko. 4-way speaker. Titanium tweeter and upper mid-range. 12" woofer.  ;D

Kung matuloy plano ko, baka isama ko mga kapatid nya. XPL-160 and XPL-90. Titanium din.

Para wag mo na akong iapi.  ;D

It's quite educational and fun at the same time. And the fact that we're all mostly pinoys ( my guess...), we can relate to most concerns and ideas and apply them...unlike the other forums where most things do not directly apply to us...specially helpful when dealing with prices, great deals and experiences with certain products locally.

You know what habibs..i seriously can't remember exactly...but you can check out Podium Astroplus or Music One at Alabang Town Center.
I believe they still have a few selections there. Fairly reasonable ang price. However, there might be other places where it is much cheaper.

Normally, I just get my dvd's from Astro Plus at the Podium.
They have a bigger selection than the other stores IMO.
Jumper is from Astro Plus...550.

Before, i used to browse thru magazines to get ideas on how to set up my HT. Now, with the forum, it's like an HT mag subscription with an abundance of ideas.
This will really come in handy when I redo my HT...planning to build a house by early next year. I'm excited to plan out the HT na.  :D :D :D
And this forum comes with decades of experiences you can't simply get anywhere else.

Updates on first page.

Decided to put the old screen and PJ back this weekend. The keyword here is "old". This just gives me more reason to upgrade both the screen and PJ..hopefully, by Christmas. ;D
Kailangan na talaga as you will see how the pics/images are below. Anyway, my intent is to continue using the flat panel during daytime and have a choice between PJ and flat panel in the evenings for viewing SD primarily.

So now, I have the LCD at the bottom and the PJ screen at the rear of the flat panel...right above it.

Sony 46W300A
Screen technology:LCD
Diagonal screen size:46 inch
Aspect ratio16:9
Additional features:Bravia Engine EX; WCG-CCFL; x.v.Color; 1080p24 input-ready; Bravia Threater Sync (HDMI-CEC); triple HDMI terminals.
Dimensions:(HxWxD)1135 x 734 x 122 mm
Weight:28.5 kgAudio
Surround effects:S-Force
Total output power:11W x 2 Video
Video inputS-video, VGA, Composite video, Component video
Contrast ratio16000:1
Additional features1920 x 1080 resolution; 500cd/m2 brightness; 8ms response time; 178-degree viewing angle; Full-HD-ready.

I got the projector maybe 7-8 years ago, if not longer. First of all, it's a data PJ and not an HT PJ. ;D
So, kakahiya man ang images, I guess it will do for now until a get a new set.
Help na lang with the tweaking of colors and adjustments mga bros. I just like to maximize what I have at the moment.
I think it will be quite obvious that there is very little I can do with the PJ as you see the specs below:
(hooked up RCA Video input...will change to S video)

PLUS UP1100 (data projector) :'(
Single chip DMD (Digital Micro Device) 1024X768
Manual zoom/manual focus: F 3.0 f = 35.0 to 45.5 mm
Metal Halide lamp 280W
Image size: 24 to 300 inches diagonal
Projection Distance: 1.2 to 12.3 m
Light Output: 1000 ANSI lumens :'(
Contrast Ratio: 500:1 :'(
Color Temperature: 7000 Kelvin
Video Inputs: NTSC/PAL/SECAM/NTSC4.43/RGB (H:15 to 60 kHz, V: 50 to 85 Hz)
Video Bandwidth: 60 MHz
Color Reproduction: Full Color 16.7 million colors
Horizontal Resolution: NTSC 550, PAL 550, SECAM 350, NTSC 4.43 350 Tv lines
RGB 1024 dots horizontal, 768 dots vertical

So, how do I make the image on PJ a little better? Adjustments?
It has the usual brightness, contrast, color, tint and sharpness adjustments.
For white balance, it takes me to a screen where I can play with the brightness R, G, B and contrast R, G, B.
For gamma, it just toggles me to Normal, Natural 1 and Natural 2.

TIA

One more thing...the image settings for LCD (standard) and projector (default) are untouched.
So any suggestions for both calibrations will be greatly appreciated. TIA.
