Hello bro. Di ko sure if the fabric is available locally...i got mine from a private seller in the US who was originally going to DIY his screen but ended up foregoing his project. Anyway, I've been getting a lot of inquiries so I plan to get back in touch with the guy I purchased this from. Keep you posted.

Yes bro..well, you can't block your front speakers talaga with anything solid. (specially directly in front of it)hehehe
What I noticed with this material is that I really did not hear any significant drop in SQ (kung meron man, it's not something that my ears can identify right away)...I ended taking my speaker grills off permanently to hopefully maintain the sound level it would normally produce...kasi nga additional block pa yung screen.

Ye that's the plan.  He already has the mains and the rears.  He is acquiring the center na.  As for the subs, I do not know yet.......and depends kun kailangan pa, cause the mains have a bass module which is rated to go down to 20hz :o :o :o

Will keep you posted on this....or maybe we can help him build his room diba.

Ano kaya models nya for surrounds? May bookshelves or dipoles ba ang Von Schweickert?

For me, it's better to have a sub, even if your speakers go deep. You can properly locate your sub (iba kasi location philosophy for mains and for sub) and you free up a lot of amp headroom for your mains.

Sige, thanks, keep me posted. Curious talaga ako dito.

Yes there is a discontinued bookshelf, and its the VR1.  There are new bookshelves such as the Unifield 1 (single driver) and the Unifield 2 (2 drivers) but are quite expensive.

Hello there fellow enthusiasts. I am posting this on my thread to find out if there is anyone out there who may be interested in helping me out on a project. (see pics below) This should be fun... ;D

I've been working on this on a voluntary basis. The architect is also a good friend and likewise, a volunteer.
We are now working on acoustic treatment/design and can use some help with taking some measurements to aid in controlling the reverberation...and improve acoustics overall.

If you have the tools and some spare time...and a big heart  ;D ;D ;D, please let me know.
We will also work on stage design, lights and sound system.

Thanks bros!

Very nice set-up sir. Are these 3 speakers at the back of the sceen centers only? Di po ba gumagalaw ung PJ screen kapag malakas ang volume ng movie? Anyway nicely done sir.  :)

Yup, the 3 speakers are centers only. I know that it is not really ideal to have 3 of them but i did not notice any type of problem with the quality of the sound so I just left it as is...for now. hehe

Di naman gumagalaw yung screen. Siguro the distance of the speakers from the screen is a big factor. And the port hole of the speakers are at the back of the enclosure.

Alvin, I might have some of the tools needed but honestly, I have no idea how to do the acoustics of such a huge hall. Ibang klase ang large rooms. Ang alam ko is that the acoustic targets are completely different. You definitely need professional help. Sa palagay ko, kaya ito ng tokayo mo.

At this point, we are just trying to do the best we can to treat the primary reflection points...will start on the sidewalls soon.
I know my tokayo would be perfect on this (I worked with him at Don Bosco Church here in St Rose)...but kakahiya lang coz he lives so far away...hehe.

Anyway, if you are up to the challenge...and can spare time Chief, it will help a lot.  ;D ;D ;D
O ayan, personal invitation for a such challenging task...
Malay mo, lumaki ng ganyan ang HT mo...hahaha. E di ready ka na... ;D
Don't worry, walang target specs dito...just basically improve the intelligibility of speech and reduce reverberation.

Isipin mo lang ... sa kadami ng tao at kadami ng speakers, gaano kadami ang 1st reflection points? Baka halos lahat ng walls at ceiling ay damay.

That's what I mean. You can't treat this like a small HT.

Ang sa kwento ni tokayo mo, you need to inject delays for the speakers para sabay dumating ang sound sa audience. Iba talaga.

whoa!  sabi ko lintek at mas malaki pa sa bahay!  ahihihi!

This is where we will hold most of our major events. I think we did the job na in making sure that we do not have a flat ceiling that is parallel to the floor. Parang ganun na nga...one giant HT since we will also put a big projector screen on the upper mid section of the stage. Try, try lang...

The ceiling looks solid and enough to cancel echo pero ang walls and medyo di ko sure. Kamusta ang test nyo sa present sir? May echo pa ba?  ;)

I recently had a discussion with another friend about a certain type of treatment that you spray on the walls...also used as insulation and works almost just the same as rigid fiberglass. Currently looking into this pa.

Nababawasan na yung echo as the installation of the ceiling progresses. Definitely merong change in room acoustics but without actual measurements to compare, the ear becomes the only tool. The ceiling, you will notice has small squares...those are acoustic boards with small holes. Nakatulong din naman.

Multi-Purpose Hall po yan brader ng church group...hehehe.

We're thinking of using arrays for FOH...hopefully it will do the job na...i will post another pic later of a similar hall, except a little larger that our other members built in the U.S. - ang problem lang dun is that our counterparts did not consider the room design from the beginning so the entire hall (walls) was plastered with decorative absorber panels. Hindi masyadong attractive sa mata but worked for speech intelligibility.

Basta pag meron kang time (anytime) Chief, pls let me know.
Parang second opinion lang ng guru...hehehe.

This is what we're trying to avoid sa walls (this is our hall in the U.S.)...If you have seen Resort World's Theater, I thought their walls were great.
