Anyone ordering from Parts Express?
« on: Jul 22, 2008 at 11:16 AM »
Not sure if this is the proper forum to post this, but since i'm not looking to buy it from any respondents...Anyone ordering from PartsExpress any time soon? Need a favor, need to hitch on the creditcard/PayPal and the shipping, I need tweeters for my car's sound system. my current tweeter doesn't go low enough (response is less snappy at 1.6khz, at any slope), and has a peak at around 6khz but doesn't have much response beyond 8khz. Need something that's more neutral but has extended high freq response.

BTW here's the tweeter that I'm looking to get:

Not really, my tweeter's aren't busted, just have SARS :D that, plus I thought it's time to try soft domes in the car. I was hesitant before because the popular DLS really rolled off after about 12khz; my Hertz has a lot of sparkle unfortunately not enough air.

Are you ordering? When? Actually I've ordered tweeters through PE before, hooked them up, sounded great but I couldn't cut them as low as my Hertz, but I still want to go a little lower. my HU's processor can cut at 1.6khz at 24/18/12/6db slopes, figured the Vifa's just about perfect.

what were you planning to get? acoustic foam? handling fees are expensive, definitely. they have to be in packages that can't get bent. i think they'd have to be packaged separately, not sure though.

anyone else ordering from PE?

My Payroll ATM card is Union bank and it has the VISA feature which I used to order tubes from the US. You can open an account at Union Bank and request for that type of ATM Card.

dont think it'll be that easy for me bro, i just graduated last year, and right now if i use my own ITR i'd only get a fraction of my current extension card's limit. doubt if they'd give me online access. i actually have the BPI Mastercard exclusively for online transactions, problem is, my mom doesn't trust online transactions, had to use someone else's paypal before. wont be able to get away wtih this as my mom's an O.C. and BPI faxes her the statement, got to commends them for the service, they fax it to her in california. she doesn't mind the swipes i make at Petron, but she'll blow her top if she sees an online transaction. nuts.
