Wasn't this cancelled? Does that mean its finale went sraight to video

Yup, the show was cancelled late last year --- a victim of the strike?
I think the "finale" is with respect to Season 4 only --- don't think they were still able to make an episode to serve as a "wrap-up" for the entire show.

I actually came back from HK with the Season 1 disc - had I checked carefully that this first disc had so little content I might not have got it yet and waited. What is the whole 4 seasons likely to cost? Anyone seen the other seasons sold separately at sale prices, which outlets, pls advise.
