sir, yan po ang point na ni raise ni sir barrister at the beginning of this thread.

What I can't figure out is how this player can output in 24p (24 frames per second), when SD DVD is already encoded in 30p for NTSC (60 frames interlaced) and 25p for PAL (50 frames interlaced).

Can it reverse the 3:2 pulldown on a commercial DVD, or does it only work on a 24p-encoded home movie from a DVD camcorder?

anyway, i did experience the flicker pag naka set sa 1080p/24, kahit sa orig na DVD ( casino royale, true lies). kaya ginawa ko, set to 1080p nalang. :) hindi ko rin na notice ung diff eh. ;D

dis s my setting
orig dvd = 1080p
jack sparow = auto.

Nasa TV yata talaga ang problema sir.

... At SM appliance in V-Mall Greenhills, I requested a 24p demo on their 50S10.  They showed me a BD clip of Fast & Furious at 24p.

Surprisingly, 24p looked worse than standard 60p (from the short audition I got, at least).  And I noticed very obvious flicker in the sky on one scene.

... about yung flicker po, even the py800 has it when 24p is activated.

i asked around here in Cebu before i ordered the XDE unit from anya618, they say they'll accept it naman. this shop was referred by the sales people in the dept stores when i asked for the service centers of Toshiba. ;)

Is the region hack of the XDE500 only for regions 1&3?  I tried both regions and they played ok.  Yesterday, I tried loading my WOTW R2 (Japan) and it displayed on the screen that the REgion is not compatible.  Should I just do the region unlocking again?
