Makikita natin 'yung "Rise of the Rebellion" pati -Sana! The ones who escaped Order 66! :o

Some of the stories between episodes 3 & 4 have already been told in the recent Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game, which is already considered canon. While the game had its flaws, the story was excellent, and many have said they should've made a movie about it instead, and not the crappy Clone Wars.

I've read the Official Graphic Novel of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed published by Dark Horse. It's a nice pass time read.

They say that SW:TFU is set in the "official" continuity. But one of Lucasfilm's representative said in an interview in ToyFare (published by Wizard) that any story in the expanded universe -meaning any story that appeared in comics, novels, short prose, video games- are not canon since they are not public knowledge: Only themes that appeared or have been given reference in the movies are considered canon by George and his posse. ??? >:( :( (But hooray for Jedi Master Quinlan Vos. :D)

Kaya after ko mabasa 'yun, I felt a wee bit betrayed for buying all the comic books and assorted story stuff na hindi naman pala nila considered official. So, kahit may seal pa ng LucasBooks, LucasArts or anything, it's just a stamp of approval as an officially licensed product. Not a part of the continuity which are the Star Wars movies plus the TV Series (Pwera lang ang Star Wars: Holiday Special at Star Wars Muppets episode. Hehe  :-X).  >:(  :(

Lucasfilm only see comic books, novels, video games, short proses as ancillary products; Products licensed to legally earn them & to maximize money by capitalizing on the movie and brand just like toys, pajamas and assorted Star Wars themed items. >:(  :(

Buti nga sinabi nila 'yun, eh. Nakatipid na tuloy ako simula nun.  ;D

Also: Yup. Clone Wars SUCKED big time. The characters are "out of characters," and plot holes a many.   ??? >:( :( >:(

Have you watched the New Clone Wars TV series? Set right after the Clone Wars movie?

Download it, may 13 episodes na. :)

People have been raving at how good the series is getting.

I've seen it. Have you seen it? You said, "People have been raving at how good the series is getting," so I'll assume that you haven't seen it yet. Well IMHO, the good part of it is the first episode. Yoda and a handful of troopers VS Asajj and her droids.

It's still too kiddie-fied for my taste and I assume our pal jazzeon would find it silly because it follows right after the Clone Wars movie not just in story, setting but in atmosphere as well. Especially, the episode where Annie & Obi "team-up" with Dooku. It's a slapstick-styled a bit ala 3 Stooges. The scene where they try to escape and were chained together. I mean, why try to make humor when the story you are telling is set in an intergalactic civil war? Intergalactic or not, it's still war! There's no humor in it. I'm not saying they should tell it vein of Platoon or Saving Private Ryan but at least drive it in a more serious tone just like in Empire Strikes Back or Revenge of the Sith.

The defenitive take on Clone Wars is still the Genndy Tartakovsky directed Micro Series, Star Wars: Clone Wars showed a few years back in Cartoon Network and is now available on DVD.

 ;)

Yep i've seen it. :) I download it every week. I really like it though. Probably a die hard fan like me can't resist anything Star Wars.. :) I mean if you have a life size Stormtrooper armor in your house and Star Wars tattoos all over your body, you're anything but a normal fan, hahaha!

But yeah, I actually watch the Clone Wars religiously just to see if I get blown away by an episode or two. I'm just happy there's something Star Wars out now, even though it may not be their best. :)

Wow, sir. I'm really surprised by your answer. You have Star Wars tattz? Amazing! You're really not a normal fan. :D

I have a few Star Wars collections of my own. But I limit myself to just DVDs, toys and other displayable goodies. And someday, I'll buy myself too a life-size goods of Darth Vader and the likes.

I used to buy comics and other story related stuff but as I've posted above, they are not worth it since they are not "G-Canon." Let's not be duped in to giving away our hard earned money. ;)

I've seen the 3D Clone Wars series at a friend's house because he likes to download everything. I don't download because I think it's not fair. I mean, I'll just wait for it to be on cable broadcast. I use torrent too but just for porn and really really hard to find movies! Hehehe!

The Clone Wars TV Series will debut in our local Cartoon Network this February, 2009.

And i have to admit, i'm not a normal Star Wars fan. And The Clone Wars TV series is awesome! It's as good as the Genndy Tartakovsky micro series.

okay, that''s enough veering off-topic...

Can anyone post pics of these repackaged Star Wars trilogy sets, particularly the inside and disc art, if any? And there's really no bonus content and extra features, just the bare bones movies? I never had the Star Wars films on DVD, so I have no basis for comparison with the older sets.
