guys, we're almost there!

this baby, scared me to death!

akalain nyong di ko napagana last saturday! consistent na nag turn off every 3 minutes, ahhhh!!!!

i changed the (composite) cable at ganun pa din. taragis! nanlagkit na katawan ko sa frustration. aba!!!

itinulog ko nga. ano? itinulog? di kaya ako nakatulog,

search dito, search dun... text dito, text dun...

then finally, kinabukasan... tried a generic player and dyaraaannn!!!

weak pala ang signal coming from the player. though may display, perhaps, ang akala ng PJ walang connection. sensitive pala ang damuhong ere!

ito ngayon ang pinagiisipan ko.... i need your advise guys...

do i need to purchase a new player with hdmi like a pio 410 or pwede na ang lumang player and just use component since ordinary dvds lang naman ang kaya kong bilhin? 1k up for HD/BD e too much na. nawawarat na bulsa ko!

in case na component ang ggamitin ko, ok ba ang branded o yung pagawa sa suking av shops natin like sound dimension, spectra and watt hi-fi? they use monster cable tapos ampenol plug. tnx guys.

congrats! wala na yata available na DVD player now that upconverts (1080i) using component. Although mayron sa Market Place na Samsung HD 841. Ok itong player na ito

why do I know kasi I have one na hindi ko ginagamit

Yung Pio that upconverts thru HDMI (1080) ok na din. Ang downside lang if you choose HDMI is mas mahal yung cable, I would suppose you need long one kasi yung gears mo nasa harap while yung PJ mo nasa likod

yup, ang mahal ng hdmi. i would need 12m of video cable if we decide to mount the PJ at the back. i don't think this kind of setup (table) is good since malikot ang anak ko. am already thinking of relocating my gears near the PJ. in fact, i have a cabinet originally designed for the gears. esep-esep...

malaki ba talaga ang diff sa PQ ng hdmi vs component kahit ordinary dvd lang?

dati i use to have lots of upconverting DVD player which i sold most of it na, for me there is really no big noticeable difference in PQ (plasma TV). the only advantage lang of the newer model is has more features which in the end hindi ko din naman nagagamit kasi mostly DVD lang naman ako. Sa PJ not sure if there will be a big difference

your decision to transfer your gears at the back beside your PJ is a cost effective solution. at least now speaker wires na lang ang bibilhin mo na mahaba which is a lot cheaper than HDMI/Component cables.

pero there are DVD players na very good sa upconverting like Oppo, only thing is mas mahal

sa tingin ko try ko na lang muna ang component cable to maximize the use of our current player. then, saka na ang hdmi kasabay ng ps3/BD player but matagal-tagal pa seguro yon. enjoy ko na lang muna what we have. otherwise, papalitan ko na "handle" ko.

I don't think there is any real difference in pq between HDMI and component. The main convenience of HDMI is that 1 cable na lang.

Medyo mahaba ang 12 meters na cable. I know that sa HDMI, kapag mahaba cable, you often can't connect direct from player to pj. You need to pass it through AVR or video processor that has a "repeater" which boosts the signal. Baka dapat mag-experiment ka.

Anyway, congrats sa pj mo!

Uy! many thanks amigo. appreciate your point on HDMI vs component. i've decided to relocate the gears at the back para 5m of video cable lang ang bilhin ko. this way, as vtec3 has pointed out that mas makakamura. and for me, i'll give weight more on PQ over SQ sa usapang kable. thnaks again/

parehas tayo sir, ang ginawa ko na lang ay nilapit ko yung DVDp ko sa PJ, tapos long run na lang ng coax cable for the audio going to the avr.

Sa PQ same lang pala ang HDMI and component, may bago na naman akong natutunan, thanks sa info sir streetsmart. Makapag experiment nga rin sa component cables.

and with my current setup/layout, need ko 12m of v-cable. baka magpagawa ako mamya using 5m of monster with amphenol tip.

Problem ko din dati ang mahabang HDMI if i will place my player in front and side by side with my screen. To remedy it I made an overhead rack that now contains my DVD and Bluray player and my PJ.

yup, that's a good option and i considered it also kaso lang medyo hirap lang magload ng dvd esp if my wife or kids ang mag operate. ilipat ko na lang seguro ang gears sa likod tapos main speakers and screen nlang ang sa harap. hopefully, maipost ko na next week ang final layout.
