Or you can post at the marketplace that you are looking for tubes.

What kind of tubes would you need?

I buy tubes from people who sell at the marketplace, from tubedepot.com, and from some ebay sellers.

Or you can ask the transformer winder that we both know for help on how to find tubes. (The tranny winder that is from Rosario, Cavite and a kumpare of your cousin, he does not sell tubes, but he knows some sources better than me.).

Just stay away from those "hustlers" that will tell you that Japanese tubes are better than Telefunken or Amperex!

I also had the experience of buying 12au7 tubes from a local seller that went bust after 3 months, and I bought it from a reputedly "honest" seller from another local forum!

Not only 12au7 tubes, I got some 6x5 tubes from a local seller that gave my preamp oscillations which took me a couple of months to isolate.  He also sold me some Siemens caps that leaks oil, upon checking, those old Siemens have PCB in them.  Latak na yata ang binebenta nito.

The best insurance is to have the tubes tested before handing over your hard earned cash. In fairness, there are a lot of honest sellers. Get from those who are willing to give you warranty.

primarily im a guitarist, so my knowledge of tube range from the 12aXX to elXX or the 6L types.
i have just explored hifi since i want to "upgrade" my home audio system.

i live in iloilo so tubes are a hard find. i buy my tubes from an old electronics store which sells some nos national tubes and some trigon tubes but he is running out of stock and his prices are a bit expensive.

id better look around the forum for more info.

yup, a short break, didn't have time to go out all!!! under mrs. arrest ako most of the time......i found a supplier in moscow for 6C33, US$5, mas mahal pa sa 6N30 na US$12....di lang kami magkasundo sa manner of payment....at saka russia and lengwahe so i have to deal with out interpreter....malabo....

There are a lot of honest sellers sa ebay, meron ding mangloloko.

I guess to buy at ebay, you need to develop relationship with the sellers, and avoid those first time sellers at ebay.

Kung mahal ang shipping, maybe organize a group buy, so that you will share the shipping expense.

i ordered 2quads of 4D32 at Surpluss sales of nebraska, very fast ang service, my order was shipped aug 12, it reached our post office around 30 of august...

i will order around 160 pcs of 1dollar tubes and shipping will cost around U$80....so 240 dollars will buy me 160 tubes for an average cost of 69 pesos per tube.....you can never find such prices here...

i am planning to do guitar amps...mahilig yung bunso ko eh.....
