HDMI-to-DVI...Can't be found in Ph?
« on: Jul 20, 2007 at 07:33 AM »
hello. :)

I have a ps3 and an xbox 360 elite and both are capable of HDMI output. I want to use them on my LCD monitor but I can't seem to find any HDMI-to-DVI cables that will allow for this. I looked around MOA and Robinson's Manila yesterday but no luck.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find this cable? or maybe some type of DVI/HDMI adapter? I checked CD-R king and most computer stores in those two malls, but no one seemed to know what HDMI is.

Here's a picture of what it looks like.

Note: HDMI is the left which connects to the PS3/Elite while DVI is on the right which connects to my LCD monitor.

I know this isn't exactly a gaming forum, but since it does deal with HD, I thought I might give it a try. Thanks!

That cable should be quite common by now.  Kung di makahanap, puede kita bilhan from Tokyo.   Dating ako sa 27th.  Medyo mahal nga lang dito dahil puro brand ang cable.

I saw one at a computer shop at the Mall Of Asia, I think it's Electroworld or the shop adjacent to it. Cost 2,500Php for a 2 meter cable.(HDMI to DVI).  ;)

I also saw such similar cable in Ace Hardware beside SM Makati. The cost is around 2.3k.

CD-R King has that and so does Ace Hardware. I know because I looked for a DVI cable for my LCD monitor and whenever I asked at those places it was the HDMI to DVI cable they kept shoving at my face.
