Mga bro, just my 10cents on the HDD partner of your EG. Two things, first - invest in a eSATA drive given the mind-blowing speed transfer (makes USB look like Pentium 1 generation). Second, get a very largest drive you can afford - believe me you'll need it.
Personally, I've lost thousands of pesos in re-selling a 'just right' HDD which I quickly outgrew given the space demands of the newer files/applications nowadays. If you get a 'just-enough-for-your-requirements' type of capacity, believe me you'll be selling it on the pre-owned market in a couple of months - lugi ka pa in the end. Strongly suggest you get something 1.5- 2x your requirement.
Bro jackryan even shares his similar view on investing ahead of the curve - he's now going for his 2nd 2Tb na ata - looks like bitin pa (

On an average, a 1Tb would equate to around 100-160 titles depending on the rip (1080p or 720p).
Most of the suppliers in PDVD have over 200+ titles... and counting. From my experience, I wanted to get ALL pero talagang di kasya lahat and ang hirap mag-tanggal ng titles. What do you prioritize - yung di mo pa napapanood or yung mga catalog titles na 'must-collect' even if you have a BD disc na of that? Hirap talaga mag desisyon mga bro.
Each 1080p titles eats up around 8gig and each 720p around half of that. Do the math and factor in your upcoming 'voracity' for this new and lucrative HD hobby and I can only hope you make a nice solid decision.
Just my humble opinion mga sir, hope you don't end up losing more (in the long run) in an attempt to save (in the short term).
Cheers!
