There are 3 versions of SACD (depending on the recorded SACD disc):
1. DSD Multichannel Surround Sound (you need a SACD player)
2. DSD 2-channel Stereo (you need a SACD player)
3. CD Standard Stereo (you need a regular CD/DVD player)
In each SACD, the above no. 2 & 3 are present while no. 1 is optional (not all SACDs have it). Since you already own a SACD player, you don't really need another player.
In case you love multichannel surround, you can use your AV receiver/surround sound processor to play back the
DSD 2-channel Stereo into multichannel surround.
However, for those audiophiles, they would certainly prefer "pure" or straight output to the receiver/amplification without any sound processing, thus strongly against any artificial multichannel surround.
