As stated in the 'available now' thread, Magnavision newest BBC documentary release is
The Life of Mammals.
Allanmandy pointed out that in R1 and R2, this is a four disc set. Here, as is customary for Magnavision TV boxsets, they somehow reconfigured it everything and is one disc less. However, everything (10 episodes, extras, etc.) seems to be complete, whether that means they had fiddled with the compression (and PQ) I cannot tell, as I don't have another region discs to compare. My own eyes tell me it's okay , on par with Planet Earth's quality (slightly grainy but doesn't detract from the quality cinematography and scenes).
It's Php 1,200. And I initially wanted to wait until it got discounted during sales but seeing that it's $71.99 (R1) and that it earned a
DVD Talk Collectors rating makes me open my wallet and get it. A worthy purchase for documentary buffs (but probably worth waiting for sale promo for everyone else). The R2 version is currently heavily discounted on Amazon (£13.98), so that should be equal in price to our version (sans shipping).
