Guys I also own a 1st gen wdtv, what do you do if you encounter some mkv movies that will not play? I think the message says file unsupported, not sure though. Is there anything we can do on the specific mkv file to fix it and be played eventually?
Kelan ko lang nasubukan ang MKVMERGE, I had a 25GB file na ayaw mag-play sa WD TV Live ko,
a friend suggested I try this program, he told me to turn OFF the compression, at first hindi ko mainitindihan,
so I just installed the program, and started to explore the interface, you'll understand it once you install it,
I may be using a different model, but its worth a shot sa unit mo,... Good luck...
Oh by the way, the program is a nifty one, it allows you to remove any unwanted feature ng file, if you don't like any other subs na nakasama maliban sa english, you will be able to take it out, or vice versa, in which you can attach a subtitle to the file, I often remove other languages na nakasama sa file, mas lumiliit pa ang size nya...
