I downloaded and installed new firmware, most of my MKV files are now playing though no DTS audio on DTS files. I tried playing iso files ..yes it works too!

When you say playing the ISO file works, did the unit read the menu options also or just the VOB files?

Hello...A little help lang po...my WD HD player is barely 1 month old (or new)...during the flood our area here in laguna was hit significantly hard, our first floor was chest deep in water...managed to save most of my electronics, however during the emergency lifting all the wires got mixed up... because i havent had my WD player for long, di ko pa sigurado ng 100% which ac adapter goes with it...my wd player is bundled with a wd hdd...one ac adapter has the brand "APO" and the other "Ktec", can you please help which one goes with what?....thank you in advance.

The "APO" adapter is for the WDTV.

I mean MKV files with DTS audio still no sound coming out to TV speaker im not using AVR that can decode DTS but the video plays well.

that's a given sir andlisten..

the wdtv never promised the DTS downmix..you must have a receiver to decode DTS audio

Tried using my HDPro with an internal HDD as a slave to my WDTV. It works.

ano gamit nyong home theater para sa WDTV?

namimili pa ako sa dalawa kung ano maganda..

Samsung HT-Z220 or LG HT554TM

both have dts and dolby digital decoders..

can anybody give me some advice or comments about dito..thanks!!

not familiar with both brands... but make sure it has digital optical input to connect the player...

get one of those univesal adapter

got one from sm appliance for under 200 pesos.

Make sure you buy a generic Power adapter with the correct voltage and amperage.
I think the WDTV needs 12volts and 1.5 amps

regulated ba ang power supply na nabili mo? baka hindi malinis ibinibigay nyan na voltage delikado ang wdtv mo.

anyway, i noticed most of the owners decided to disposed their wdtv. but for me it stil serves me well, dont need the network capability anyway.

problema ko lang ngayon is high speed internet connection, kasi we just moved-in to a new house.
dami ko gusto panoorin in hd, like g.i. joe, star trek, transformers: rotf, ice age, and many more..

hays.. sana may wdtv users dito sa paranaque na mabait. lolz!
