You can buy a remote at the WD Store in SM North EDSA or Abacus Microcomputer at Vmall, Greenhills.

hello,

i lost my remote (it's small size was begging to be lost, and my daghter obliged and threw it away), called up WD store in SM North and Abacus but they're not carrying it. meron pa po bang ibang stores where it can be bought? salamat po.

Sadly, you won't be able to buy it locally,
but you can order it online through the WD store,...

good luck

mga sir ask ko lng baket po minsan yung mga downloaded movies ko in high definition ay walang sounds minsan naman walang sounds and video at all. minsan may mga files na ok nman na i think ay the same format lang naman sa mga hindi gumaganang movies.. im using WD tv GEN(firmware 1.03) + onkyo 607

sample of movie without sound;
transformers.Dark.Of.The.Moon.720p.Bluray.x264-MHD   --6.55gb

sample of movie without sound and video;
Captain.America.The.First.Avenger.720p.Bluray.x264-MHD   --5.45gb

and any latest firmware po ba para sa gen.1?

thanks to all, more power pdvd.

Anyone has problems with the WDTV live HDMI port? mine's not working anymore after just days of using. I don't know what happen, but I recall plugging the ethernet cable to copy movies from my laptop, while copying I also played movies from the WDTV live, could that possibly destroy the HDMI port? I'm now just using RCA cables.

exFAT is not supported.

Supported file systems are NTFS, FAT/FAT32, and HFS+.

thanks barrister, too bad for me.

I wanted to keep a hard drive to keep my mkv files (4GB files and up) that can both be read by my Mac and the Win users at home. exFAT made that possible but too bad the MEDIA player doesn't read it.

I guess I have to make do with transferring them to my Mac Formated Drive or NTFS Drive when I watch.

Any other recommended solutions?  My goal is to get all OS to read and write to the drive and still play it with WDTV Live - hope WD will make a firmware that will support exFAT soon. :)

+1 for this problem too...however in my case the hdmi port just suddenly stopped working though the rca cable perfectly displays a 720p resolution...i even tried some suggestions of shaving of the plastic part of the hdmi cable to reach the hdmi port but to no avail...or perhaps you could point me to a place which repairs hdmi ports...thanks...

Im thinking of getting WD Live TV because of its built-in WiFi. Can I just connect it to my home network wirelessly and then act as a receiver/player since my content streams from TVersity from my desktop?

guys quick question. what program do you use to get the video cover para maganda tingnan yung menu pages nyo

meron bang parang cover art grabber for wdtv

kung simpleng cover lang at hindi moviesheet, pwede na yung jpg pics poster ng movie, or google lang ng photos, ganito rin ginawa ko. kung customize eh thumbgen na talaga kelangan mo para may sarili kang design.

Wonder why WD stopped selling WD TV,...
Wala na sa website nila eh, am hoping maglabas sila ng updated unit,...

Update:

Just got off the phone with WD, and yep, they stopped manufacturing WD TV already,
and no info yet if they'll release another player,...

@egzbuen, I have the same dilemma and was able to do a workaround. You have to navigate to the STREAM folder and hit the PLAY button not the OK button as using the okey button will access the folder and shows the files in it rather than playing its content.
