AV Stores in Bacolod City?
« on: Dec 25, 2002 at 04:22 PM »
Does anyone know of any good stores in Bacolod to buy dvds or AV equipment? I'll be doing the holiday pilgrimage to the wifey's relatives and I might as well be on the look out for bargains or hard to find items like the Saving Private Ryan DVD if they have a local Astro.  I'm hoping the secondary urban center stature of the city will make goods turnover less quick like in Manila so those items will still be there.  On a less related but similar note, I found my long coveted pair of Levis waist 38s in lesser known retail outlet.  Guess big sizes aren't made that much anymore by mass market retailers.

I guess this question has been posted for quite a while already but I hope I can still be of help.  :)
There are currently 2 AV stores worth checking out while you're vacationing/exploring Bacolod... Sound Signal/710 video along Lacson St., near Bar 21 - they are the exclusive distributor of NAD electronics here in the province and also sells H/K electronics, MA & AE speakers among others. And Innovative Audio, quite near the former, which sells Yamaha receivers as well as Denon, B&W speakers, Wharfes & some Kefs. They are currently venturing into some DIYs tube amps. We have a branch of Astro at Robinson's Place and an Odyssey store too. Hope I answered your question.

There's also Innovative Tekno, along Lacson 22nd streets. I'm not proud to say this but both AV stores, Sound Signal and Innovative Tekno have very suplado salespeople. It's as if they're saying, "wag ka nang magtanong-tanong, di mo naman kayang bumili e".  >:(
