This the cheapest and best buy among the generic NMTs but it does not support MKVs/.h264 and no HDMI output.

For only 4600 pesos as quoted by a seller locally.

The difference between the ME-1 and the ME-3 is that  the former model uses an IDE interface while the newer ME-3 uses the SATA interface.

People there have successfully installed Samba, FTP access, torrent client and wireless dongle for the unit's latest firmware.


As this NMT is based on Realtek RTD 1261 which also found in Emtec HD players and is hackable!

Moreover , you can record video as it has a video-in port.

What can you say about this NMT? Worth the money for its features? or not?

so yung device na ito ay walang pinag-kaiba sa ordinary Harddisk Player na nag-play ng DivX
sayang di nya kayang mag-play ng HD movies na naka .mkv format

well it can record tv shows through its AV inputs and can be connected to LAN network and can be set-up to download torrents. Other than that it cannot play MKVs and .h264 codecs as its realtek chipset is unable to do so.
