Topic: Egreat 32b booting problem

hi, anyone experiencing this one?

(DAY 1-tuesday)
kakabili ko lang sakin this week. I've tried to watch the night it came to me. I've installed the WD640GB HDD on the supplied tray and everything went ok.


(DAY 2-wednesday)
kinabukasan early morning, when i power-on the egreat, ayaw magtuloy nung booting, after nung "loading..." hindi na pumasok dun screensaver/wallpaper nya, basta blank lang sya. i tried all connection... hdmi, rca and s-video pero the problem is not with the signal, ayaw lang talagang mag boot nung unit, pero me nakalagay dun sa LCD ng e-great na "1080P" then yung "HDD" and "NTSC" pero yung parang "small dot oval" na indicating there's activity is not showing up.

I tried booting it without the HDD and still won't boot, i placed the HDD again then it boot normally. Nakapag sound ako that morning. Nung gabi na naman, ayaw ulit mag boot, tried 6 times power-on and off then nag ok ulit sya at nakapanood ako.

(DAY 3-Thursday)
Almost same scenario sa Day 2

(DAY 4-Friday, today)
I've tried everything i did kagaya nung day 2 at 3 but ayaw na talagang mag-boot. Naka 10 times na ako on/off talagang ayaw.
Wala naman akong mabasang Manual kung me "Reset" button ba sa hardware, pero halos wala naman akong ginalaw sa internal setting nya, naka default lahat.

help pls.

shouldn't you bring it in na at least to be diagnosed sa store so that it can be repaired, or ideally, replaced kung defective?

yup, that would be my last resort. i'll try to send it back for further diagnose.

it happened to me before when i first got my 31B. tv mode yan. i tried the tv mode + 0 (auto detect) but it didnt work.
i quick call to richie solved everything. i pressed tv mode + 1. it was a composite output but i was able to select the right setting from there (hdmi 720p for my plasma).

yikes! late reply, tv mode + 0 lang kasi nai-try ko kanina, nung wala pa ring lumabas i've send it back already to the seller form Q.C., i'm from pangasinan pa kasi. i'll let them check na lang muna kasi zero knowledge ako sa kalikot, i've text the seller kaso he doesn't know also the problem.

better also if we'll start a dedicated thread here for common problems and solutionencountered sa egreat para easy step sa mga 1st owner nito.
