Hi fellow PDVD members. Question lang po, I'm not familiar with PS3 and I'm planning to buy one for my kids and also for myself. Can the 3.55 FW jailbreak model play 3D Bluray movies without any problem? How about 3D games using FW 3.55?

Please help.

I dont think there is a jack sparrow 3D game or movie. AFAIK

yes there would be problems. Also, you cannot fully utilize your PS3's capabilities if you will just JB it. sayang.

If you can buy 2 ps3s, I think you can buy original blu ray movies and games for it.

di ba most of the new HDTVs are multi systems? if in case the PS3 refuse to play the blu ray, is there any work around like going to the menu and playing the movie directly?

Well yes. For games it's not a problem anymore at 720p and up, but ideally you need Region A BDs. There's some risk for "region free" BDs coming from Europe.

Just encountered Cinavia Message Code 3 while watching Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance on the ps3 the audio was muted and a warning appeared

i updated the ps3 firmware yesterday to 4.20

updating it to the latest FW will not remove this error message. Sony included Cinavia in FW3.0 and above to prevent playback of illegally downloaded videos...

just found a workaround "ps3 media server" my ps3 can now play mkv  :D

may ilalabas daw yung sony na bagong model nang ps3 4000 mas slim sya pero ang tanong hacked pa ba to? seguro lalagay nila nito nang updated firmware para hindi majailbreak :)

ok na saakin yung lumang ps3 ko ceche01 working pa naman  :D
