I just bought a pre-owned Bell'o TV stand like this off Ebay:

The stand was in  very good condition (like new).  P1.5k kuha ko dineliver pa sa house.  Good deal na di ba?

Added bonus is swak na swak sya sa place na paglalagyan ko- as if parang pinasadya.   Di ko pa nga masyadong pinansin at first yung listing sa Ebay since akala cheapo na rack lang yun  until I took another look and  narecognize ko yung logo ng Bello'o  The seller said she bought the rack at Shangri-la for 12k. :)

Nice Thread. By the way for custom made stuff do you have it done by a furniture shop? or Ordinary lang na carpenter? We had a TV rack before that was done by a carpenter pero mukhang sablay sa finishing. I think it's because they dont have power tools for sanding/buffing.

may specialization po kasi yung mga carpenters, usually hiwalay po yung nagfifinish sa nagaassemble ng rack. a good seller that we have here that builds beautiful custom racks at very reasonable prices is sir oyie.

Any reviews or users nito:

boss i'm using this very same rack ng cdr king. Solid sya. Ganda. 3 layers ng tempered glass. Pang 22" to 42" sya as per cdr king. Pero ginamit ko sya sa Samsung 51" plasma ko.

Downside lang ay yung 2nd shelf nya, saktong fit lang ang Marantz receiver ko. Konting konti na lang space on top so not ideal kasi mainit yung receiver. I have no choice but to put the receiver on the top.

Di nga ideal yung shelf height nya. Kailangan kasi nakakahinga ang AVR naten.

Makes me think of having a customized rack instead.

My recliner sofa arrived yesterday.  As promised, here are the pics:

Side lever is small, like a car door handle, rather than the big one that looks like a car handbrake lever:

hi sir,

sorry, i know this thread had been inactive for quite a while, balak ko sanag bumili rin ng recliner from victoria mondiale, would just like to know kung ok pa yung recliner nyo, ok pa ba yung mechanism after 4 years of use?  and yung leather, ok pa ba?  hindi naman nag-crack?

do you really think hindi siya genuine leather?

thanks

Yes, ok pa ang recliner.

Ok pa rin ang mechanism.

Ok pa rin ang leather.  No cracks.  The material is slightly stretchable.  The stretch allows the material to flex and return to its original shape without cracking.

One problem I encountered - the stitching on the leg rest of the center seat came loose, maybe about 4 inches long.  I sewed a new thread on it, ayos na.

Yes, i'm sure it's not genuine leather because I saw the underside of the material.  The backside of genuine leather should be suede, which is not the case with mine.

Sabi ng clerk genuine leather daw kasi you can smell it.  Amoy genuine leather nga, pero hindi genuine leather.  I googled for an explanation, may synthetics pala na nilalagyan ng chemical fragrance para mag amoy leather.

Hi! Was about to make a thread about TV racks/hanging stands when I did a search and found this. :)

Sooo... More than three years passed, did CDR-King TV stands stay sturdy? Are they actually sturdy? Parang nakakatakot sa pics?

Any place else where I can buy TV racks/hanging stands cheap and solidly built?

Apologies for necromancing this thread. :)

I may not have the moolah to buy expensive racks and speaker stands, but have plenty of time, patience and learning skills about woodworks. Recently made some racks and stands, most of the wood used were thrown by locals except for the 1" board which I bought for 2k ( from 2pcs of dining table).
I did not use nails nor screws for the av rack.  :)

You must have been a Master in Dovetail joint Sir defcon3. A carpentry art that fascinates me when I was still a child until now, when I look at those old bauls that were crafted without using any fasteners like nails or screws.
