Clint Eastwood (who also directs) stars as Korean War vet Walt Kowalski, a man who doesn’t much like how his life or his neighbourhood has turned out. He especially doesn’t like the people next door, Hmong immigrants from Southeast Asia. But events force Walt to defend those neighbours against a local gang which leads to an unlikely friendship between Walt and a young Hmong teenager who tried to steal Walt's prized possession: a 1972 Gran Torino.
