Hi,

HD-ready displays images up to 1080i.  The "i" meaning interlaced (horizontal lines are displayed one after the other).  Full HD displays images up to 1080p. "p" means progressive, where the lines are displaced simultaneously.

So, for less action-packed movie sequences, HD-ready will suffice.  However, watching motion-intensive scenes like car chases and the like, a full HD display will output the images much more faithfully.

Hope this helps...

Your pv80 has a HD resolution of 1366 x 768 as opposed to a Full HD which is 1920 x 1080. But that difference is very hard to discern on a 42" panel. Your BD will play perfectly on it. It will downscale the BD 1080p signal to 720p.

Yes sir watching bluray movie on my 42x20 is great. Pero siguro mas maganda kung full hd. Pero sabi ng mga guru you will get the advantage of full hd kung 50" or greater ung TV and also depends on how far you are from the TV. :)

I tried that before using BLU-RAY on a 42" HD READY Monitor, it's was ok especially if you watch PIXAR movies but in action pack scenes it's here where you could notice the difference and in a FULL HD panel the colors really come out very clear & sharp in non animated films ;)
