Try pressing TV mode on your remote followed by the number 7.  This should switch the signal to HDMI 720p.  I'm using my egreat with pv70 and it works fine via HDMI connection.  ;)

did you try selecting 72-p 60hz or  1080p 60hz on the hdmi setup of the egreat? I'm using a 34a to a pv8 with no problems on both 720p or 1080p

Please elaborate your settings here bro so that we can analyze your current situation.

I am using PV8 with egreat 31B with HDMI connections as of now no problems encountered.

Egreat, Via HDMI, I have used  the following:

1080p 23.9...Hz = no problem
1080p 24Hz = no problem
1080p 60Hz = no problem

TV mode 0 = automatic = no problem

Hope this helps.

Try checking the settings of your PV8. Put it in the just scan. Then press TV mode 0 at your egreat.

Try checking your connections. Then try using HMDI1 or HDMI2 at the back then interchange.

Just curious, have you played a dvd movies via dvd player in your PV8? Does it produce red lines also?

hi chess, where can i find the just scan? is that the aspect ratio button in the remote? if so, it is already in just.

i also tried switching hdmi cables and hdmi ports. yes before the egreat i was watching dvds with a pioneer dvd player via hdmi. no red lines and no flickering.

i am baffled.

One at a time.

Instead of setting the NMT to AUTO via remote, set it manually to HDMI 720p or 1080p through the Menu (make sure under HDMI and not Component)..Save and try again.  Good luck.

try to cold boot (manual power switch on the unit - meron ba yung 34B? - instead of remote) after you change the video output settings.

still the same, red lines and flickering. could it be a power adapter problem?

i brought the exact same unit to ehome yesterday and it was working flawlessly there. but i didn't bring the power adapter there just the unit?

On what part of the screen do you see the red lines? AC adapter might be a cause for the red lines..But not sure.

Unusual case, Do you have a spare HDMI cable? Try changing your HDMI cable. If it does not work. Bring your complete unit again to e-home.
