I got mine from DOM sa BS section for 5.1K. The difference from the 410 is the CD to USB recording which was only availble in 610 before. This is not a universal player, it cannot play DVD Audio and SACD and it has no multi channel analog out like the 610. I like the PQ though better than my previous Pio 696AV IMO. For those who are looking for a black 610 and is not concern with SACD and DVD Audio (just like me), i think this is a good alternative.

Is the PQ of 420 better than the 410? Or parehas lang?
How about the size and dimension? Is it exactly the same box?

can this player play p discs as good as the nextbase 656? i often buy the 3 for 100 purple type p discs which mahirap i play ng ibang player because the quality of the purple disc is not good.

this has been available at ambassador appliance since 3 weeks ago. I saw it there when I was getting a 610, almost got it except for the absence of analog multichannel outs, cant play SACD/DVD Audio too. but its good if you don't need SACD/DVD Audio playback.

Mga amigos, i just bought the unit yesterday afternoon at Western Mktg., Trinoma.

Price P5,490 0% interest for 6months. P915/mo.

Black finish, free 2 meters HDMI cable, plus libre cine pa worth P130 for every P1,500 purchase from
Citibank.

Making this as a back up player. I have pio 600. Wats new w/dis player? FF niya na 1.4X with sound.

ako din nga pala nakabili na neto. 5.5k sa SM Manila. With free HDMI na din. yun lang ang kasama. XD pero sulit pa din, libre lang kasi yung sodexho ko from office. hehe..

haven't fully tested it. Casino Royale pa lang ng BD Rip napapanood namin pero sobra stunning talaga ng PQ. parang ayoko na manood ng sine! =D

Maganda naman siya, but I have pausing problems with two DVDs na mataas ang bit rate (tulad ng concert ni michael buble saka yung isa kong chinese movie). Sa ibang discs wala naman problem. This issue never happened with my older Pioneer DVDP (though wala naman scaling tong luma ko). Wala akong commercially available p discs so di ko pa natest with that, pero wala siyang problem with reading DVD-R/DVD+R discs burned sa PC.

Yung HDMI output nya automatically nadetect na 2ch ang supported ng Panasonic TV ko, but it wasn't able to detect yung capability ng Hitachi TV so I had to select manually dun sa Hitachi.

The USB connector did not have a problem powering and recognizing my 0.5TB portable HDD. Subukan ko sa 2TB drive this week.

420 supports WMV9 via USB (220 is DiVX only), comes with a bigger and nicer cabinet, and has a dot-matrix display (instead of segmented). According to the Automatic Centre rep, the 610 upscales better than both the 420 and the 220 though (he said that he had tried them side by side).

It's available in most "good" (meaning catering to us PDVDers and our more sophisticated taste) shops - e.g., The Home Theater - at ground floor of Prince Tower, Tordesillas St., Salcedo Village in Makati or any Listening in Style store (LIS in Shangri-la Plaza, Listening Room at Megamall or Listen up at Glorietta). I would have bought this, if I wasn't able to buy the Toshiba XDE.

Parang hindi ganyan ang impression ko sa Pioneer,
ang mga nagamit kong Pioneer ay binasa lahat,
whether DVDr or mga P*rated DVDs, nagkaka-problema na lang habang tumatanda
at mukhang lumalabo na ang mata nya.

Its a very reliable brand, with a great price as well...
