End of the road  for Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell.

just watched UFC 115 last night, it was a lucky money shot to Iceman's chin that knocked him out... but all in all it was a great match up... Ace was just lucky. :D

Indeed it was.

Ace didn't beat the Iceman of yore. He beat the Iceman who was recently knocked out by Rampage, Evans, & Shogun. He beat the Iceman who's game is already on the decline.

Fighters tend to ignore the fact that father time has caught up with them. Chuck must realize that his time is up. I hate to see lesser fighters whooping it up after beating perhaps one of the best if not the best UFC light heavyweight champion ever.

this is where broc has to be very careful go ask chuck liddle(recent losses of chuck were becasue of lucky punches)

i think broc's edge lies on the speed but carwin IMO has the heavier punch.

forward thinking...... if broc wins, is there anyone else there who can be at par with him now?

wow... now... i really admire Lesnar...

maybe nawala lang ang tiwala ko kay Lesnar kasi galing siya entertainment industry and his first fights doesnt really shows his MMA skills...

hats off to Lesnar... considering na kagagaling lang niya sa recovery.

all those beating he receved in round 1... whew....

The fight delivered the whole thing fans could have hoped for. Carwin gave Lesnar all he could grip, had him seriously hurt in the1st round. Lesnar then showed even more just how good he is after only 6 fights and took benefit of a punched out Carwin in the2nd. It was an unbelievable main event that lived up to its tab and then some and Lesnar certainly proved his doubters incorrect. >>> source

Lesnar proved that I am incorrect...

but im not still impress...

maybe im one of those guys na bilib kay Lesnar (because of his speed and stamina/strength) kasi having only 3 fights nabigyan na agad siya ng slot for championship fight (hmmmm... management move to market UFC??? ewan ko lang) naging UFC champion agad siya... for me hes just got lucky during that time and still lucky this time...

surviving the onslaught of the likes of carwin is skill itself.  He showed that he has tha MMA iq of a champion.  he keeps on moving to look like he is defending himself intelligently so the ref won't stop the fight.  mahirap gawin yon lalo na pag si carwin ang bumabanat sayo.  I am not a fan of Lesnar but i was impressed by what he did.  Carwin throwed a lot of punches during the first round and drained himself by end of the round.

so easy take down for lesnar on the second round and he finished carwin with an arm triangle.  e parang hirap i choke ng mga yon since parang wala ng leeg sa laki ng mga katawan. ;D

ganda nung mga laban yesterday.

it takes more than skills to survive carwin's onslaught, agree with you brader on the strategy to make it appear na dumedepensa pa din sya,

he is the fastest sa mga heavyweight na nakita ko and apart from speed, skills, he has a very good ground work, which carwin has not shown considering all his figths were done and over sa early part ng 1st round

with cain velasquez, baka iba naman, my guess is that broc is too powerful for him but who knows.

he really got the skills sa laban na iyon... kung paano niya iniexecute ang choke na iyon.... and then with his strength... STILL THE CHAMPION

whew...

dude,

decorated american collegiate wrestler si brock..champion pa yata.  wala kinalaman yung pagiging WWE star nya noon sa mga laban nya sa MMA except for the hype na galing sa sa WWE, aside from that, he's a legit wrestler, ganon din si carwin at marami pang ibang MMA fighters na wrestling ang background.  if you noticed how he changes his position nung 2nd round after the takedown, ganon mga moves ng mga non WWE wrestler.

si carwin relied on his striking too much lately na di na nya na defend yung takedown ni brock.  plus the fact that he gassed out in the first due to non stop striking, napadali lang pag take down ni brock sa kanya.

@bro 606

yeah..i agree, aside from the skills, brock showed a lot of heart to survive that punishment from carwin.

I hope Cain Velasquez will train well against his upcoming match with Brock, as he had seen that a striker more powerful than him was not enough to stop Brock.

I think Brock's choke showed how versatile heavyweights can be.  I also could not help notice how he was greeted by old comrades in wrestling ;)

If Lesnar was just "some" ordinary heavyweight fighter, he would have just settled for his chokehold position on the 2nd round and sat on Carwin. Hindi, eh. He progressed the hold. When Carwin was effectively blocking the choke with his left shoulder, umikot at nag-corner si Brock by slowly circling his body into position to neutralize Carwin's block. That's legit fighting skill if I ever saw one.
