ano predictions nyu mma-fans?

I don't think that I've ever seen him hit hard by an opponent before. It'll be interesting how he'll react if he gets rocked with a good punch in the chin.

For 5 years I was Lennox Lewis's personal photographer. I went with him everywhere. Fights, promotions, parties so I am a big fan of the sport. I got to meet some real Boxing Gods, Mohammed Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, George Foreman etc. I Have to say that I don't think any of today's bunch comes anywhere near the pure class of any of these legends. Recently I watched UFC and I have to be honest, it made me feel sick to the stomach. There was no style, no grace, just bar room brawling by a bunch of thugs. Basically something you might see in a sleazy little bar. This is not sport and it certainly isn't entertainment. It ranks up there with Bull Fighting, Hare Coursing, Badger Baiting and Cock Fighting as pure barbarism. With this crap on TV I'm little surprised that violent crime involving persons is running rampant in these Islands. People basically view violence as fun. Very sad indeed.

I beg to disagree. While im all respect and a big fan of boxing, UFC is a whole new sport. The discipline and training of these fighters are at par with boxers. Regarding style and grace it would be difficult to see it if youre not familiar with the sport. Maybe you should see the UFC legends too. The gracies perhaps. If you want something present check out GSP or anderson silva. I think you are describing UFC 1. 131 is the latest  ;D

imo hindi naman po "brawl by bunch of thugs" yung ufc. how could anyone call those fighters "thugs"? they are not criminals, they are displined fighters at hindi naman hugot lang sa tabi tabi. karamihan dun mga high level martial artists. tas yung iba mga champions pa sa mga competitions. pinagaaralan nila yung ibat ibang style ng martial arts defense/offense tulad ng judo, muay thai, karate, jiujitsu etc hindi lang iisang style.

minsan  nasosobrahan lang yung hype ng media, it was depicted as brutal sports, for publicity na ren ofcourse, but those fighters deserve respect. they are busting their a** sa training to hone their skills and to give a good performance for the fans. what is the difference from boxing, wrestling, etc na full contact sports din.

Not to mention Strikeforce and Dream HW Champion. I'd like to see this guy in the UFC.

^ Overeem still needs to win the SF HW Tournament first besides, the fight with Werdum was a bit disappointing. Werdum all but neutralized Overeem's striking advantage. On the other hand, Overeem neutralized Werdum's ground advantage. The end result: a boring fight.

Josh Barnett took down Rogers, kept him pinned down and finished him with a side choke. The long layoff hasn't dulled Barnett's catch wrestling prowess. I'm looking forward to the his semi-final fight with sergei kharitonov, the tournament's dark horse.

i was able to catch up with the replay on channel 23 UFC Versus

kongo and barry fight was probably the best i have seen, barry was very agressive and have heavy hands landing a solid punch on kongo outting the guy to one of his knees, barry then threw barrage of punches to a point that the ref almost stopped the fight but lo and behold as barry was approaching kongo in the hope of finishing him off, kongo landed a puch on the side of the head then another solid punch around the jaw area that put barry to sleep. i was scared at how barry looked liked after he fell, tirik halos ang mata
