PS3 Repair Shops
« on: Jul 15, 2009 at 07:40 PM »
Guys, is there anyone here who knows any repair shops for PS3. We are from the South kasi eh, Paranaque to be specific. It will quite tedious for us to go to Greenhills. Too far. So if there is anyone here who knows any PS3 repairs shops in the south, paki post naman po. Las Pinas, Alabang and Paranaque will do.

Thank you very much po!!!!

Only PS3 repair shop @South that I know of is on ATC ..... i think the name of the shop is Trekker, very near Datablitz.

I'm not sure though if they still do the repairs ..... as it's been a while since I went there.

If you have a serious PS3 problem (e.g. BDL, YLOD), it's worth it to go to the repair experts ..... CYNET (SM Tayuman) being the most reliable one of all.

I dont know about you .... I dont trust the repair shops in Greenhills.  ;D

@vtec3 ...... CYNET would be the best repair shop out there ..... majority of the PSX community swears by this shop.

You may contact them at these nos: 0905-2663520 & (02) 7319198

I do not trust majority of the Greenhills repair shops ..... play it safe with CYNET.

Hi!

Has anyone tried to have their PS3's repaired by Sony Service Center? If yes, how was their work? Thanks.  :)

I'm not sure that Sony accepts PS3 repairs ...... both PS2 & PS3 are not "officially" released here in the country ...... all PS2 & PS3 units sold here are considered gray market.

I could be wrong though .... would be very nice indeed if Sony Phil does accept PS3 repairs (pero kutob ko they'll charge you a hefty sum).

Would the cost of repair is worth considering new players cost lower with far higher HDD capacity and for the 1 month service warranty ? I believe there are two kinds of lens Single & Dual. Of course the latter cost much.
Need any opinion. TIA

@odyopayl ....... many months back, it could be worth it having your PS3 repaired e.g. BDL.

But since the release of the SLIM & prices going down significantly, I myself would rather buy a new unit than having my old one fixed.

OT: For anyone who has BDL-units, I suggest just using your PS3 as a media player ..... streaming ala NMT.  ;D

^ As I recall (about 2 years ago) pricing from CYNET ..... P7,000+ for Dual-lens assembly ..... around P6,000 for Single-lens assembly. You can call CYNET for current pricing.

Much pricier ang CYNET since they dont replace the lens ..... rather, they replace the whole lens assembly - since there will be no more need for manual alignment. The owner also claims to use original SONY lens assembly.

If CYNET prices are still the same .... then it's best to just buy a brand new slim model.

I just use my BDL PS3 (FAT) for my downloaded PSN games.

^ Be careful lang pre ..... I somewhat agree with CYNET's owner explanation that it's better to replace the whole Lens Assembly rather than just the lens itself.

Kasi kapag lens-only ..... it will require manual alignment ..... which is a delicate process.

Be sure to investigate SM CLARK's repair techniques, tools, etc.

Laking pera na din ang P5.3k ..... good luck pre

Hi. How is your repaired PS3 doing? Does it still work? I've been looking around all over the net hoping to find a good PS3 repair service. I got an old BDL PS3 phat from my bro. Thanks!

Hello. What was the problem with your fat PS3? I need some repairs on mine and I was wondering if we had the same problem.

Thanks.
