Carlo so in your opinion which is better?  P800 or the s10?   Gaming and Movies

Sorry for the late reply :(

I'd say that since 50% of your use would be for gaming I'd go for the S10 simply because the green phosphor lag for that unit has been reduced. Image retention for the S10 is also better than the PY800. The PY800, however, is better for dvd playback. Blu-ray for both units is almost a coin toss situation, the S10 may have deeper blacks but that's hardly noticeable for me.

Happy hunting :D

pero diba the py800 is an older model? how come the PQ is way better than the S or C series? or should we just wait for the G,V,Z series?

The py800 cost mga 65k the S10 cost mga 63k.

Newer model doesn't always mean it's better.    :)

The G series are having good feedbacks as a good "gaming" plasma TV - -but costs roughly at 80k for the 42"  - - mahal lang

I dont know about the S series but comparing the PY800 to the C series is like comparing the latest model of City to last year's model of Civic.  So which do you think is the better ride?

now if you compare the PY800 and the G10 that's a different story.  Hopefully Carlo and the other Pdvd gurus will be able to review the G10/G11 unit soon.

I'm happy I got the PY800 - so far no regrets

Brilliant decision Yakisoba.  How much did you pay for the PY800?

Dont worry, lamang lang sa brightness ang G Series.  Get your PY800 properly calibrated or manually set and you'd be better than good for at least 3-5years.

I havent actually tried any of the Spyder variants because I simply tinker with the manual video settings on my own.  But I've heard/read excellent results from spyder calibrations done by one of our popular stores in this site.

It SHOULD be better than ok if properly done since your PY800 has a high-grade panel.

Very True!

PY800 series is MADE IN JAPAN
S10, C10 are Made in Malaysia

IMHO the PY800 is better than its successor!  ;)
