yung akin mk1 with 2.3.1 at wala namang problema.

yung sidewinder edition with 2.3.2 na yata ang fw at wala din daw problema ang problematic

lang talaga yung bago nilang 2.4. ewan sa mga dev kung anong version na at hindi naman stable.

mga sir, just an inquiry. bibili po ako ng xtreamer with FW ver 2.3.1, tanong ko lang po, ito po ba yung latest firmware na ino-offer sa market? pwede po ba ito i-upgrade to 2.3.2? capable na po ba ito ng HD audio like yung mga truHD? sensya na po, first time ko po kasi gagamit ng NMT at ito yung nakita kong pinakamaganda na pasok sa budget ko. thanks

the new xtreamer sidewinder/pro lang ang alam ko na kaya yung hd passthrough..

I've shared my entire Drive D from my WinXP SP3 PC.  I can see it from my Xtreamer, but it keeps asking for a Net User ID and Password.  I've done everything I've seen on Google (e.g. activated Guest account, reset Guest password to nothing, tried PCNAME\Guest and other combinations on the Xtreamer, etc).

I still can't get it to work!!! 

Help naman.  Pa-PM naman ng step-by-step instructions please.  Explain to me like a 4-year-old.

Sorry kung may instructions na posted in the past ha.  I've searched PDVD for "Net User ID" and walang search results eh.  Please point me to the right direction if this info has been posted in the past...

Based on my experience, the Xtreamer is a product of the open source community so you have to follow the support issues yourself when they get released.

The jukebox is too buggy and slow. Anyway, you can still access your movies from the xtreamer the old way even with the new firmware.

Finally i got to afford Xtreamer Pro. Pero upon reading sa forums mukhang dami issues with regards sa firmware updates.. hehe subukan ko muna bago ako mag reklamo  I think tama decision ko to buy this NMT! lot of you guys sure will agree

you can use the emergency version of the firmware to be safe.

Although the xtreamer has issues, it does have an active community who are working to improve it. It's better than buying WD wherein you get a static unit.

I believe there are even unofficial firmware developed by some in the community for those who want to add functionality to the WD TV units, so it's pretty active actually.

Just updated to firmware 2.4

if you want to update the jukebox, xlive and myradio, install it manually from here
http://gator884.hostgator.com/~xtreamer/APP/

for jukebox, unzip it and copy the jukebox folder (make sure it is just one level, unzipping it will create two jukebox folders inside the other) to the scripts folder in your xtreamer
for xlive, the same procedure
for myradio, unzip it and copy the contents of the myradio folder to the myradio directory at the root of the xtreamer.

by the way, I'm using XtreamerPro.

I tested audio using content encoded in DTS MA, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby HR. No problems naman.

   I'm sorry pero can you elaborate pa further. My setup kasi doesn't have an internet connection, wala akong internet sa bahay kasi and gusto ko sana gumamit ng jukebox. Does this procedure help my situation?

I am using the sidewinder. Didn't encounter any issues but I only tested for a short time since i was updating the apps.

you can download the files then copy it to a usb flash drive or hard drive enclosure. then use file manager to copy the files. However, don't do this for myradio since it takes a very long time.
however, the jukebox app requires an internet connection since it uses a reference site.

I see so it doesn't really help sa situation ko. Wala pa kasi akong internet connection sa bahay. I already have the jukebox on the menu when I upgraded to the latest firmware version. Thanks for confirming btw.

After installing firmware 2.4, the jukebox will be on the menu but when you click on it, it will just show a splash page asking you to download the jukebox.
