I've just upgraded, and it my Xtreamer cannot play my The Clone Wars season 1 MKV (4 disc set 22 episodes) indicating a GMC error. :'( :-\

......anyway, I've already converted the file to Divx, which the Xtreamer plays well, I was just hoping that the upgrade will be able to improve the FW to play this particular file.

If Alfie's files are the same as my copy of the Clone Wars Season 1, yes, I am able to play those on the xtreamer--I haven't upgraded to the latest firmware yet.

Would love to update here as well but will wait and see what others are experiencing with the latest update. The only problem I am experiencing with my current FW (2.1.3) is the Xtreamer doesn't remember the setting on my Aspect Ratio.

@to all those who upgraded & having issues, did you do a reset to default in the settings page? Try that, it might help.

Can any one find the regular discussion for every FW release on the Xtreamer forum (for the new FW 2.2). Couldn't find it.

I already upgraded to 2.2, so far no problems encountered; can play my files as expected. Need to disable digital noise reduction (DNR). Noticed that boot up was a little faster after the upgrade.

Nope, mine is the BTjunkie & Piratebay copy, that's the reason I upgraded.

BTW....dunno if the internet is just slow, but I think the internet radio is now gone....like the HDPro.  :P :'(

Anybody tried the internet radio, as far as I know, mine was working prior to the upgrade?

ERRATUM:
I was able to connect to any 96kbps radio station....so it's probably my internet connection.  ;D

Updated the firmware with no issues. Seems to be the boot-up is a bit faster now, and so is the HDD detection via USB. The settings were reset back to their default values though...I had to recall my previous setup prior to the update. Any idea what's the Ken Burns slideshow effect and what the Noise Reduction feature does? Sana may update din dun sa Media Jukebox.

The "Ken Burns effect" for slideshows gives you "moving photos" (for want of a better way to describe them)... if you've seen an iPhoto slideshow on a Mac, it usually has the Ken Burns effect "on" by default.  Makes for a more dynamic presentation.

Upgraded to 2.2, no problems so far. Except I haven't tried my problematic files in the previous FW.

Tried the Internet TV, a bit slow, maybe because of my internet connection hehe!!!

I dont think this was mentioned on the update details, but you can now go back right away directly to the currently playing music file when you go to other menus by pressing home(or is this already fixed on the previous FW? :D) Plus, you can now use the next button to automatically jump to the next track while playing a music file. The left and right button is now used for moving page up and down. ;)

My firmware update went smoothly as well and here's a real improvement;

1080p wireless streaming

I don't care about the HD-Audio issues of realteks... this xtreamer is so COOL now that it can stream 1080p

I actually tried streaming 1080p last night, though my setup is the other way around. My xtreamer is connected to the d-link G-router via wire and my laptop connected via wifi. The 1080p content is in an external HD connected via USB in the laptop and shared. I accessed the file on xtreamer via NET, and to my surprise, no stuttering whatsoever. It played smoothly, just a message "buffering" before the start of the movie. ;)

Congrats!

There was a definite improvement talaga sa wifi performance.

FYI. The xtreamer antenna also works on the PCH A-200 BTW. That means I can just leave 1 antenna in the house for those times I need to move one nmt to a room without fixed ethernet cables.

And to think, I'm only using a G-router. ;)

I have noticed when i upgraded to 2.2, hindi ko na ma-fullscreen ung mga movies ko. 16:9 ang aspect ratio niya both on my monitor (2333hd) and on my xtreamer.
In version 2.1.3, i can enable fullscreen using the 16:9 aspect ratio. Is there something wrong ba in my setup?
