C Interactive has finally decided to release the DVD version of this film. It's been available on VCD for ages. I decided to create a thread to clear some errors in the DVD back case:
1. The details on the backcover makes it appear to contain only one version of the film with disc 2 containing only the extras. In fact, two versions of the film are included. The theatrical word-for-word (as lifted from the Good News Bible) 3-hour version on disc 1, with the recut 2-hour version and extras on disc 2. Both discs are DVD9.
2. It's listed as fullscreen. Both are widescreen.
3. The description on the backcover is as follows: "The Gospel of John is about the story of Jesus Christ as told by St. John the Baptist. It is a well crafted movie of a story told a million times but from a perspective of the person who baptized him..."
St. John, the Baptist was beheaded before many of the major events in Jesus' ministry as written in The Gospel of John. The fourth Gospel was attributed by most Christiand as written by St. John the Apostle.
