Jeff Probst of Survivor suggested that the show remove itself from the category...because well, it seems to be on a league of its own. What do you guys think?
Not gonna happen. Like I said, CBS needs the show's prestige to keep it alive, since its ratings are okay, but not
Amazing.
Taking oneself out of consideration for the Emmy is nothing new, though. After winning Best Supporting Actor four consecutive times for playing "Dan Fielding" on
Night Court, John Larroquette no longer submitted an entry to be considered for the award the following year.
Mr. Hankey, why would have CBS canceled this show 2 years ago? Low ratings? Expensive prodcution costs?
The ratings were not that great, which is why they only had one installment (instead of the usual 2) for the 2007-2008 US TV Season. The two seasons in 2008-2009 had very decent ratings, though.
