I wish they have Jaime-Cara-esque team this Season. Good for the eyes.

I've been peeking at the spoilers in realityfanforum and now the rumour was verified that a team won't be leaving on the first airplane to depart in the race.

I'm gonna watch this.

I hope they make another all-star series and they include our Rovilson and Mark from TAR Asia S2. lol

Oh my God!

ANOTHER Emmy win for Best Reality Competition Series for TAR???

Does the Academy even think, or do they just automatically vote for this show every year?

It's the show's seventh consecutive win.

This show is really lucky, since without its wins, it probably would've been canceled by CBS a couple of years ago.

Congrats to The Amazing Race for winning for the seventh consecutive time!

Jeff Probst of Survivor suggested that the show remove itself from the category...because well, it seems to be on a league of its own. What do you guys think?

I say, if it manages to win another award next year, it should be elevated to the Hall of Fame. Not sure if the Emmys have this though (ala-Famas).  ???

Mr. Hankey, why would have CBS canceled this show 2 years ago? Low ratings? Expensive prodcution costs? I think it makes for great TV entertainment though.

Not gonna happen. Like I said, CBS needs the show's prestige to keep it alive, since its ratings are okay, but not Amazing. ;)

Taking oneself out of consideration for the Emmy is nothing new, though. After winning Best Supporting Actor four consecutive times for playing "Dan Fielding" on Night Court, John Larroquette no longer submitted an entry to be considered for the award the following year.

The ratings were not that great, which is why they only had one installment (instead of the usual 2) for the 2007-2008 US TV Season. The two seasons in 2008-2009 had very decent ratings, though.

Would love to see more switchbacks in the future. At one point, I thought the bales of hay would be the undoing of another team of siblings.
