What's the best 32" for Cable TV viewing?
« on: Dec 10, 2009 at 08:57 PM »
I'm looking to buy a 32" flat screen TV for my kid's room.
The watch 60% cable (sky and destiny cable lang/ Cartoon network, disney etc) and 40% DVD viewing.

What is the best kaya?

I'm thinking of getting the Pana 32c10x or the LG 32LF20 or 32LH70? So far wala akong nakikitang feedback dito on watching cable TV with these panels.

Any feedback?

Regular cable TV isn't very demanding as a source so I imagine any LCD TV with will do.

I am 99% sure that for sky cable TV viewing plasma is better than LCD.  In fact many of the  flat screen junkies here share that opinion.  Unfortunately the smallest plasmas in this market these days are 40 inch.

So pangit kaya manuod ng cable TV dito sa mga to: Pana 32c10x or the LG 32LF20 or 32LH70

CRT is out of the question kse need to hang a flat screen on the wall.

Did you consider a 42 inch panny  for about 45K?  They are getting good reviews.

if your need to hang the monitor exceeds your quality requirement for cable viewing, you can get just any 32" lcd tv. among lcd tvs, standard broadcasts' difference in PQ are negligible.

for mostly cable viewing da best pa rin ang CRT. a 21" CRT will display a picture only slightly smaller than a 32" lcd on 4:3.

Actually I do have a 50" panny Plasma. It's the best thing I purchased this year.
Kayala lang I need a 32 for the kids room.

I guess a Panny 32 or an LG 32 pwede na sa mga kids yun.

Am very curious.........

Are you using a digi box wiht your 50 inch panny?

So how do you rate the PQ of your 50 inch panny on standard sky cable?

And do you expect the PQ using the 32 LCD to be as good as the plasma?

Cable TV viewing for LCD

viewing cable tv.
paying skycable po ako without a digibox.

Do I need to replace them with

Try adding a cable tv signal booster. It may improve the pq a bit.

You're not alone here.  Ordinary cable feeds can look crap on LCD TVs.  You could improve the signal by what is suggested above.  But for me, I'd shift to one of the digital cable providers.

I just had the cables in our house rehabilitated, and all our TVs (2 Plasma, 1 LCD, 6 CRT) now show crisp images. No signal boosters are installed.

Check the cable that ran into your house, if it's the cheap (malambot) kind, replace it with Belden or similar quality cables. Your cable TV signal will improve a lot.

or better bro upgrade to Cignal Digital Satellite, which provides 8 HD channels + 22 SD channels as well to maximize your panel's full potential.  ;)

How it will know as soft cable? Where to buy the Belden cable and how much?

Swan brand cables are very soft, just like ordinary audio-video cables, and halos kalbo yung outer wires nya. The Belden brand have a hard/thick center wire and punong-puno yung outer wires, hence, matigas.

Beldens cost P30.00+ per meter, most hardwares have this.

I just use the 10 pesos/meter cable with baron atenna and it work fine for me. Some shot while watching channel 7 and QTV. I think you should tweak the settings of your LCDTV for better PQ. Im using LG 32LH70 LCDTV.

Tried to plug my main skycable line directly to my LCD and it produce a crisp picture quality.
Before kasi, naka-plugged muna yung main line sa 4 way splitter tapos papunta na sa
LCD yung isang branch.

will the signal booster solve my problem? magkano kaya and suggested brands po?

THks sirs

go for LG 32 inch. Kahit anong model ok. Why? Kasi pwede mo i-tweak ung contrast ratio nila using Service menu. U wont believe the picture quality. It surpasses all 32 inch today. I tried it. grabe ung black levels. pero pag nagwatch ka lang ng dvd movie. di pa namin na try sa cable viewing. ;) ;D

anyway, any 32 inch will do for cable viewing. Pare-prehas lang sila ng PQ. Go for the best deals ka nalang. Ok ung Panny kasi mura, Mas ok ung LG kasi free bracket.

Buhayin ko lang itong thread.  :)

We also have the same problem, kami naman 2 way splitter lang. Sa 42" plasma kita un moving horizontal line... Will signal booster solve the problem? If yes, appreciate if you can also suggest a good brand.

Splitter kaya dapat din palitan?  ???

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Thanks.
