If you are interested sa reference series Medjo mahal pero maganda. Kung mga floorstander naman and for HT use, by all means, get the package Synergy series. May pair of floorstander ka na, may center ka and may surrounds. I think the tweeters in the surround are configured as bipole. I just auditioned a set kanina. Very good SQ especially for it's price.

@ Carlo: Malapit nang magpost si Dennis dito.  ;D

I haven't tried my RB sa HT. Ginagamit ko lang sya sa stereo apps. Pero i have already tried the rf10 and the B2 (ata), there is a big difference for me especially sa mids & lows. Napayatan ako and lacks detail ang rf10 & B2 (compared to RB81) due to limitations in driver sizes. Plus IFAIK, mas-sensitive ang mga reference series.

any reviews on RB61? ;D  was eyeing the RB81 pero kelangan ko pa magbenta ng  kidney kung yung ang bibilin ko. ;)

it will be paried with master Jojo's Baby G preamp and Jojo's power AMp ( 50wpc). right now they are driving the sc1 clone, pero nasa 86db lang ata sya compared to rb61's 95db.

The handsomest and the happiest ;b

Is the Klipsch Quintet 4 any good? Good price but wondering if it will integrate well with my Mirage S-8 sub since the satellites are supposed to be cut off at 120hz.

I think it's very possible to integrate them. If your receiver has an EQ, a slight bump on the cross point might correct for the rolloff of the sattelites and the sub (even without it, I don't think many people would object).

Sub positioning would be vital in making this work, because localizeable frequencies would be redirected to the sub. Try putting it in front, and close to center.

Thanks bro! Yup my sub is located in front near the center. Still studying my options but this is the cheapest one. I'm also considering ordering 3 pieces of Definitive Technology Promonitor 1000 (I am using the older promonitor 80 for my rears) from the US but it will cost twice as much as the Klipsch Quintet.

You're welcome bro. How much will this run you?

If you can accommodate bookshelf speakers, those might give you a better sound overall. There are some convincing budget options out there, imho. :)

The Definitive Technology option will cost around 32th. I already tested my surround speakers as fronts and they sound really good but not much bass of course unless the sub is activated. My other option is Polk Rti A3 and CSi A4 for the center which will be slightly cheaper. My current JBL bookshelfs are 17 inches tall.

The RB61 is a nice pair of speakers, very efficient and has balanced treble/midrange, thunderous bass and decent imaging / sound-staging if paired properly

My first choice actually if it weren't for the Polk RTi A3.

my best bet is to bring your preamp/amp + source to the retailer from which you plan to purchase your RB61 - audition the speakers using your equipment at their place

The Reference series generally performs better than the Synergy series. But if you're not adding a sub, the F-3 might be able to play louder and lower.

Tulong po. Are the synergy B3 paired with C2 as fronts too small to be driven by an onkyo 608? I'm working within a 30-35k budget and i just want to explore my options with B3/F1/RB61=fronts; C2/C3/RC52=center; B2=surround. tia!

I've been "breaking-in" my Klipsch RB61 II since yesterday. I was never a true believer of the results of "breaking-in" a speaker until now. When I first hooked up my speakers and listened in stereo mode I found the bass lacking compared to my JBL S26 bookshelf speakers. In fact I was contemplating returning them and get the RB81 II instead. But after maybe 6 hours of breaking in my speakers they are starting to sound warmer and the bass is now stronger! It's now almost as strong as the JBL's!  :o

Yikes, I'll have to buy my Klipsch rear speakers soon. Don't know what will be in store for this brand but Audiovox killed Acoustic Research which they acquired before. I used to have Acoustic Research speakers  and I always wondered what happened to that brand.
