How does it work po? Hindi ba video lang yung sa DVI? Paano po mag work ang audio sa isang adapter lang?
The DVI pinout is custom-mapped on this graphics board for the said purpose, and does not 100% follow DVI standards. The board itself is capable of trasmitting via HDMI, it just happens that the board does not have an HDMI output. The adapter gives you that HDMI output.

You need a separate VC for 3D viewing lalo na pag GPU ang gagamitin and for now ok pa yan setup na yan for remux 1080p even i haven't use that setup.  ;D ;D ;D

Despite the relatively low UVD3 frequency in this APU, it should handle most MVC sources if configured properly.

Here's a bench of the same UVD3 configuration when playing back a 3D BD:

The A6-3500 would likely show a higher CPU utilization, but should play the disc just fine.

In this sense, it is better than dedicated graphics from the HD 5000 and older generations, as those do not accelerate MVC decoding.

That is for bluray disk how about ISO IMHO mas mabigat ang bluray ISO as i have tested them.

A proper disc image contains the same data as the original disc, so this would largely depend on whether the player you're using takes advantage of UVD3's feature set.

It may take more processing and memory to load the data from the image file, but playback of the extracted data stream has the same processing requirements as it should be identical to what would come from the original disc.

ditto
AFAIK less buffer pa ang ISO, no bumps since data is already in your HDD (in short wala na bottleneck).  add to the fact that RAM size youre using is huge already .. baka sira player mo bro elmer hehehe :D

Your GPU load should be the same whether the stream is coming from a BD drive or a ripped BD image, given that you're treating the stream the same way. If you're applying more post-processing on one form than the other because of application optimizations (or the application failing to recognize the stream as something from a BD), then that is not an issue with the hardware.

Now if you're referring to the overhead of managing a loaded disc image, then that would no longer be GPU-related. You may want to change task and/or service priorities related to this to ensure that data comes in on time.

UVD3 (if present and enabled) is a fixed function component of an AMD GPU, so there should be very little variation in performance as long as the software application utilizes it properly. Have you tried checking if ArcSoft's BD & 3D Assistant properly reports hardware decode under Blu-ray 3D?

But powerdvd does play the 3D bluray smoothly same scenario and yun lang ang ginagawa ng HTPC so no need to change task and/or service priorities. Basta ako mas ok pa din ang seperate VC than on board. I also check the use GPU pero ganun pa din.  ;) ;)

The task/service priority adjustment is for the image handler, and not for the decoder or playback application. The handler is not utilized for BD media playback.

It was never an argument between integrated GPUs (in-chip in recent designs from Intel/AMD) against dedicated ones, it was just a question regarding how adequate they are for video playback. Of course, opinions regarding this vary widely.

It should play 1080p video formats that are supported by PureVideo HD.

What processor are your running, by the way? If it's powerful enough, it should be able to handle most non-accelerated formats as well.

If your TV allows for setting an HDMI port for "PC" or DVI use (or selecting analog audio for certain HDMI ports), then that should do the trick. Otherwise, you can just set the volume to 0/mute.

i tried doing that sir pero ganun pa rin. nandun pa rin yung sound. anyways set the volume to zero nalang kasi if i mute the tv meron din yung image na mute na ayaw matanggal. for now wala talaga akong makitang fix.

bale ganito kasi yon. my setup is like this:

8600gt > dvi out (using a dvi-hdmi adapter) > hdmi cable > tv

nagkakaroon ako ng handshake issues (tama ba?) - the annoying crackling sound sa tv speakers.

pero sa wakas tinry ko magpalit ng cables. dvi - hdmi cable without using an adapter and so far ok na wala na akong issues (i hope) tinry ko manuod ng starwars ep 2 so far walang crackling sound.

thanks for the help and suggestions guys!

For HTPCs, which is better, ATI or nVidia? Most of the members here have Radeon cards, why's that?
