Regarding mapping of drives, if I assign a drive letter to a particular drive, can I assign the same drive letter to another drive i.e. if I do not use them at the same time.

yes sir... it will be disabled. since ang output mo na would be coming from the card and not from the motherboard.

Try with remux movies and splash pro player. Or yung malalaking mkv with high bitrate.

Ewan ko lang kung kaya ng E350 ang Splash PRO.  Diba CPU intensive ang spLash PRO lalo na kung naka ON ang motion2?

My E350 w/ HD6450 can handle BD ISOs and Remuxed Mkvs but I am just using the stock player of XBMC.  Will Splash PRO play smoothly if may dedicated VC on high bitrate files?

Sa lahat ba ng files yan? Try mo muna sa smaller files kung kaya with all the enhancements off. Same files ba nagplaplay sa ibang players?

Try to reinstall if everything else fail.

An AMD A8 proc is a good start with a decent FM2 mobo. 4G of ram and your choice of HDD and case. Go w a 500W true rated PSU.

since you're gonna use an AMD APU, you can skip the video card. maybe use the savings for an SSD boot drive. ;)

Looks good naman. But personal experience ko is to stay away from MSI mobos 2 died in less than a year but that was from the LGA775 and 1156 era. wag ka muna mag dedicated GPU and try out the integrated graphics ng AMD. It's very good for HTPC purposes. Kasi if  you get a dedicated vc mas maka mura ka pag mag x2/AM3 combo ka lang. Here are some options i made. prices from PCHUB.

check mo nalang sir if yung psu mo mag kasya... Not all silverstone cases accept regular psu's

http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=413

according to their website Mini-DTX / Mini-ITX motherboard & SFX PSU compatible.

kailangan ng SFX psu yan. unless you're willing to modify your SG05 to accept ATX size psus.  >:D

Doable, but it'd likely be tight (in terms of component clearances). Look for low profile RAM and check for clearance (and go for 8 gigs of RAM, if budget allows). You can always slap-in a dedicated GPU if you find the need. Is this purely for movie playback?

Another thought: If you can go all the way up to A10-6800K and 8 gigs of DDR3-2133 (or even 2400 if you can find them at a good price, matched with a capable mobo), that'd give you the peace of mind of not thinking of what if you went for a higher model on the same platform. It's not a whole lot faster mind you (14 to 23 percent faster on the CPU end and upto 67 percent faster on the graphics end), but it's a more palatable balance between CPU and graphics muscle in my opinion.

SLI or Crossfire (dual or multiple GPUs) can work well with good driver and application support. However at the same average frame rate, a single high end adapter is usually better due to shorter latency and instantaneous frame rate performance (virtually no micro stuttering issue).

There are also many applications that do not benefit from SLI or Crossfire, so I suggest sticking with single graphics unless the price/performance ratio tips heavily towards dual.

If you're into Crossfire, the Radeon HD 7990 (it's a crossfire design in a single board) just got an official price cut. Local prices should go down a bit in the following weeks.
