I just marathoned Vengeance this week (I know, very late to the party). Some thoughts:

Akala ko ba hopeless na pag nasa mines. Eh kung di nga dumating yung romans walang namatay sa kanila. Tatlo lang yata yung gwardya.

That face off sequence was EPIC!

And yes, Seppia was well worth the wait. Akala ko nga di na mangyayari, hehe.

Here's to more hot girls and inordinate amount of blood spray in the next season. Like I even have to ask.

may season 3 na ba? Alam ko season 1-2 pa lang. Season 3 will be Seppia air on January 2013 AFAIK.

Many people think of the prequel, "Gods of The Arena," as Season 2.

+1 Actually the prequel is not counted as 1 season it just say prequel even on their website.

Yup. Pardon the non-technicality of my post as i was a bit lazy to indicate that.

Technically however, i think, gods of the arena is a 'bridge season'
So given the opportunity to be produced due to the untimely death of the original actor who played spartacus.

Really? If he were still alive, his shoes as spartacus wouldve been hard to fill.
Season two was the crixus, oenemaeus and gannicus show as far as im concerned. Hahaha!

"Gods of the Arena" was produced as a bridge season of sorts while Andy Whitfield was recovering from his first bout of chemotherapy, in hopes that he would fully recover and be able to return to his role for Season 2.

When his cancer recurred as they were preparing for season 2, he had to drop out of the show. After debating whether to continue with a new actor or cancel the series, they decided on the former. Liam McIntyre was actually cast as Spartacus months before Whitfield died. They had a press release saying Whitfield approved of his replacement.

Starz today announced the premiere date for the final installment of their highly successful "Spartacus" franchise, "Spartacus: War of the Damned," which will return on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT.

"Spartacus: War of the Damned" takes place following the defeat of Roman commander Gaius Claudius Glaber. Spartacus and his men have amassed major victories against the Romans after the Battle of Vesuvius. These victories have not only forged the legend of Spartacus, but have greatly increased the ranks of the rebellion slaves to more than 30,000. Rome is indeed beginning to tremble at the threat Spartacus now represents.

Late to the Spartacus party. Just got Gods of the Arena and Blood & Sand on blu ray. Haven't seen Vengeance yet.

I'm a sucker for MILFs so I find Lucy Lawless super hot. Although...watching the special features behind the scenes, parang lola na talaga si Lucy Lawless without the make up. Parang average, middle-aged caucasian.

As for the discussion about S1 and S2, I consider Gods of the Arena as S1 and Blood & Sand as S2, coz I'm OC like that.

Very unfortunate that Battiatus was killed. Loved him in Gods of the Arena. Si Gannicus din ok na Gladiator. As for Crixus...well...I'd like to bang the domina of their ludus. haha
