XDE-500 conked out
« on: Mar 18, 2010 at 10:37 AM »
My xde-500 player (connected via hdmi to pv70) of 9-months conked out this morning. The video suddenly became pixelized - audio is ok. However, whenever I fast forward to x2, x4, x8 the video output became normal and viewable but then if I press "play" again it becomes pixelized. I tested using component cables but the problem remains. Works fine when you fast forward it. I ran a cleaning disc, suspecting a dirty lens - but the problem won't go away. Have any of you experienced such problem?

I never experienced such problems on my player ;)

Have you tried resetting it to its factory settings (default settings)?

I tested it again this afternoon using original setup and connections and strangely its back to normal. No more pixelation. I guess a few hours of rest did some good. This morning the video was not viewable but now its ok again. Hopefully this problem will not return ;D.
