Ray Allen was smoking hot tonight in crunch time. I am totally baffled at Doc Rivers for not calling a timeout in that last play in regulation with 16.9 seconds left on the clock. You could tell from the postgame presser that he wanted Pierce to pass the ball to Allen on that last play, but he can't blame Pierce for it because he let them call the play instead of calling a timeout and designing a play for Ray Allen.

Methinks if Ray had gotten the ball on one of Boston's last three possessions in regulation, this series would've been over.  :-\

yup, i agree... well, boston's win is just delayed til thurs.. ;)

How to play mind games - from JJ Reddick:

"You never know what can happen. We can be like the Red Sox, coming back from 0-3. You never know..."

How NOT to do it - from Big Baby:

"They don't want to leave.  We're going to have to throw them out.  It's just like somebody renting a house."

the celtics were pretty much exposed in today's game , if you play perk in crucial minutes offensively, the c's are 4 vs 5, tony allen ankle limited minutes due to ankle problems and rondo is subpar due to muscle spasms.

imho they had a chance to win, 16 second to go doc should've called timeout.

The Celts almost won it even though they played a really bad game. And this is the only bad game that they will play against Orlando. Game 5 they will win this!

On the contrary, as a Celtics fan, I am bothered with the Celts always poor execution in the 4th quarter especially in very close tight end games. This weakness should be addressed since the Lakers with Kobe always have their best in the 4th quarter (yes, I am thinking of the finals already  ;D).

the celtics didnt play bad

pierce, jesus,  bigbaby and KG  played good imho only a few mistakes in the end on the hand hand rondo, tony allen and rasheed played subpar, gotta give props to dho who i think bent the rims at the garden and jameer who was clutch in the OT.

and yes  im pretty sure the coaching staff of LAL are watching  ;D

Vince Carter - 3 pts, 1 of 9 from the field.

I was expecting more from him after those 2 missed free throws in game 2. Well, he's a good player a damn good one but he won't attain greatness anymore. He's past his prime now & this might be his last chance to become a champ.

Lewis - 13 pts.

Not exactly a statement game but a good game nonetheless. Plus he had 5 rebounds & 3 assists.

For Orlando to extend the series, these 2 guys must help out Howard & Nelson.

I bet the Celts will apply again what they did in games 1 and 2 - hack-a-dwight  ;D. They didn't do this in game 4. The Celt's bigs should utilized all their fouls (for hard fouls and no chance for Dwight to shoot the ball).

The last time na manuod ako ng NBA game ay panahon ng paborito kong trio:
Jordan, Pippen and Rodman...

But if the current teams goes all the way, my money is on the CELTICS..!

Whoa!  The Suns put on an offensive onslaught, particularly in the 2nd Quarter where they scored a huge 41 points.  They were literally shooting from everywhere, including the men's room ( to quote the late Joe Cantada ;D ).  Had it not been for Kobe, LA would have been buried deep in that 2nd quarter.  Actually, I thought LA did a better job vs the Zone Defense of Suns but it wasn't enough.  Big difference was the bench scoring of Suns who outscored LA, 54-20!

Next game is in LA.  For Laker fans, the stats of Coach Phil is quite a relief.  Jackson is 46-0 when his team is leading 2-0 in a best of 7 series. And it's hard to imagine LA losing 3 in a row in a series.

I might sound sour graping( well, I am a bit ) but if LA will face Boston in the Finals, this loss might be good for them so they toughen up, particularly in defense.  Oh well, as my brother texted me a while ago- "Boston?  Lumusot muna kayo sa Phoenix!"  Tahimik lang ang talunan siyempre.

Phoenix's bench was bound to have a breakout game in this series. Eto na nga.  :P Disappointing for the Lakers. Game 5 should be a classic - hopefully, in LA's favor.

Actually...its LA's defense that has been a problem for them in game 4....not the zone of Phoenix.

Bynum liability sa pick and roll defense, thats why Suns got their shooters open in that mid-4th qtr run.

Since 2008, LA has been involved in a 2-2 game 5 in staples, Utah in 08, Houston and Denver last year and OKC just this year in the first round.  They are 4-0 so far in those games.  Then again...streaks are made to be broken.

This might turn out to be one of the most exciting Western Conference finals.
