It's up to the LAkers now to make it another retro Finals. Go El-Ay! Finish Los Suns in 6!

A Dan Majerle trey from Kobe to end the half... True Warrior hurting the Suns the "conventional" way... :) Still early, but good half for LA.

As I predicted, LA wraps it up on Game 6, on the road again for the third straight time - Game 6 vs Thunder (road win) and Game 4 sweep vs Utah (road win).  But not after the Suns, down by 18 at one point, made another tremendous run.

Kobe made some crucial shots down the stretch, the last FG over the outstretched arms of Grant Hill.  That, for me, was the clincher for LA.  He gave a friendly tap to Coach Alvin Gentry after that shot ;D

So it's a rematch, at last.  As everyone have predicted and hoped for, both by Lakers and Celtics fans.  Abangan!

Man, you gotta feel for Steve Nash. When they showed him crying in the locker room, you know he badly wanted to win this series. He's probably the most-consistent Suns in the series and he must realize that his window to the Finals is now closing.  :(

+2, yup, and the game earlier might be Amare's last game as a Sun since he will be a unrestricted free agent come July.

ESPN's Expert Predictions:

At least the experts are unanimous that the series will be a long one...

These are also the experts who predicted a Laker victory two years ago.....

But analysis do favor the Lakers much more this time.

Key for the Lakers

1.  They will have Artest to guard Pierce.  They had Radmanovic as the SF starter in 08.
2.  Bynum, as limited as he was, will be a factor.  Absent in 08 Finals, his presence will let Gasol play PF, away from the much more physical Perkins.
3.  Garnett is not the same player as he was in 08.
4.  Kobe doesnt have to face James Posey.
5.  Lakers have homecourt advantage.

Key for the Celtics

1.  They dont have HCA but have a better record as the road team.
2.  Rondo is a much better player than he was in 08.
3.  They have beaten the EC top two teams and just peaked at the right time.

Despite that, I'd say the matchup is pretty close.    ;)

Yup! Game 5 of the 1976 finals between the Celtics and the Suns! This is was the game where the hero of the 3rd overtime was Glen Mcdonald the former Utex import in the PBA. Check out the link below for the full story:

I just got to add that the Boston bench in 2008 was a very big factor in that Finals vs Lakers.

Powe, Cassell, House, PJ Brown and Posey were big contributors.   This time, the Celts have a shorter rotation (Wallace, Allen and Davis) but has a xfactor in Nate Robinson, if he will be given minutes by Rivers.

But also note that Rondo has improved by leaps and bounds.  And Perk has more offensive moves and a better defender now.  Plus Asst. Coach Tom Thibodeau seems to have a defensive plan specifically for each team the Celtics face.

Boston in 4! Anyone but LA! :D

But seriously, I want to see a really good series, Game 7 quintuple overtime with almost everyone fouling out or something.

BTW, are they still doing the local coverage with Andy Jao and company? I hope they show the original broadcast instead. Medyo di na kailangan kasi marunong naman mag-ingles ang mga Pinoy. Di bale sana kung yung commentator nila e si Ed Picson na magaling managalog. E di naman, yung local coverage nina Andy Jao and co. ay 80-90% English.
