In the words of Ray Allen's mom ( when Ray was raining treys vs Cleveland ), "That's what I'm talkin' about!" LA beat Boston in Game 6. Nope, it's an understatement. LA
annihilated Boston. LA
massacred Boston. They did with utter precision like a Ninja Assassin ( just watched this in BD ). More than the impeccable offense of LA was their blistering defense. It was so furious that it held Boston to, now hear this Boston fans,
"the second lowest-scoring performance in NBA Finals history. Only Utah's infamous 54-point performance against Chicago in 1998 was worse." The game was over in the first half, LA leading by more than 20 points. Either LA was so good in defense or Boston forgot how to play big time basketball in a Finals series.
So this sets the stage for the most awaited Game 7, the 17th only in NBA history. The last winner take all was 5 years ago between San Antonio and Detroit.
At the Staples Center where the Lakers is a solid 10-1 in the post season. Yes, homecourt advantage. That's why you play hard in the regular season to earn this.
More stats here that favor Boston
In their 11 previous finals meetings, Bos and LA have played game 7 4x only,
with Boston winning all four. Coach Phil Jax will have his very first game 7 experience ever. So he is in an unfamiliar territory as they say.
So will Kobe get his 5th ring, one shy of His Airness? Or will Boston, bruised and battered and all, resurrect and steal a game on the road?
Abangan.
