No Ordinary Family is about the Powells, a relatively typical American family with their share of personal issues, who develop super powers after their plane crashes into the Amazon. The cast includes Michael Chiklis (The Shield, Fantastic Four) as Jim Powell, Julie Benz (Dexter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel) as Stephanie Powell, Tate Donovan (Damages, The OC) as Mitch McCutcheon, and Autumn Reeser (The OC) as Katie Andrews.



ABC has picked up this one-hour series, billed as a "dramedy" for the 2010 Fall Season.

Looks promising, if only for the cast and The Incredibles vibe...hope this doesn't turn into another Heroes though.

When I saw the cast, I thought this was gonna be a comedy hahaha!

Managed to watch the pilot--it was actually quite good, if only for the performances of Chiklis and Benz. The daughter and son were annoying as hell, though.

Season Premiere is on Sept. 28, 2010.

It's actually sort of a comedy. Ok, maybe a drama that doesn't take itself too seriously.

It's promising. My only caveat is that the kids' powers are kind of lame especially in comparison to the parents'. I hope they remedy this in the future.

I saw the pilot and didnt like it. Its no heroes. I dont think they will last the season but i hope im wrong.
