never thought of it this way, lahat kasi ng experience ko with intel HD graphics puro PCM lang (last time i tested was 2009 pa
i have a laptop at my other apartment with ATi 6470, never thought 6000 series can do 3D

January 2010 ata nirelease yung first IGP models ng Intel that can bitstream HD Audio formats. These are built into Clarkdale (desktop) and Arrandale (mobile) chips. Eto yung first ata na gumamit ng "Intel HD Graphics" moniker, though some call it the GMA X5700HD / GMA 5700MHD. Nelson's system utilizes the newer HD Graphics 2000 IGP (similar to the higher HD Graphics 3000 IGP) since Sandy Bridge na yung processor nya (this series was launched January of 2011, and includes the same hdmi feature set as yung AMD HD 6000 series mo).

Prior models like the GMA X4500HD / GMA 4500MHD (circa 2008 - 2009) are certified for Bluray playback (meaning they can comfortably handle full 1080p60 quality at max bitrate), but can only send multichannel PCM (when Intel High Definition Audio is properly implemented).

Lower and even older models can often also play HD, but they are not officially qualified for this purpose. Some much older models can stream lossless multichannel PCM, depending on implementation. The Intel Azalia (aka High Definition Audio) spec had been around since 2004, but many makers opted not to implement it in full. Even in 2004, the spec allowed for 192/32, which is beyond what most current CE devices handle.

weird trying to search online kung OK bitstreaming sa 6470 ko, wala akong makita
last ko na try na nagwork ang bitstream sa ati 4670 kaso bigla ko naalala hit and miss din, parang kay don nelson.

Oks lang. Medjo nahihilo na ako. Just installed my sound card. With windows media player, may lumalabas na signal sa optical output ng sound card pero nag-stutter. But when running foobar, kanina kami ni Paul, may sound pero stuttering din. ngayon wala nang sound using foobar, maski stutter.

Though kanina, lumalabas sa DAC ko, 20/96 na. $:-\$

After systems restore, Ayun, baklas sound card.

Cannot work on my system because the motherboard utilizes the sound card as default audio output. Nawala ang HDMI HD audio ko.

Thanks to master jedi guru Stagea for again, taking time in rebooting my system. Back to where it was before i installed the 24/96 sound card.

Salamat Master Nelson at Master Paul sa pagpakain at pagkupkop sa akin today. Eto palaboy na ulit ako.

Master Paul, di namin mahuli at ang bilis magclip ng levels. Kailangan ata maglevelmatch muna si DMF ng settings sa projector bago natin galawin ng husto ang video processor ni DMF. Ang layo ng image quality from the other day eh. Mukhang nagbago ang settings ng PJ ni DMF.

Kung gusto mo for music playback lang na PC, it won't cost much. Mas mura pa sa kawad gagastosin mo. Lahat ng parts mura ngayon, pwera lang sa hard drive.

Eh may libreng hard drive ka na from Master Nelson.

You guys are right. Instead of a pci sound card, na gagawing default sound device ng pc ko once detected, an interface is the best and easy option. And musiland it is.

But wait... there's more!!!! I can also wait for master Paul to upgrade his interface to a 24/192. Why, cuz sayang naman mga 24/192 files niya if sa 24/96 playback lang.

Not worthy of his uber uber stereo and hifi system.

Depende kasi sa PC din ang logic na ganyan. Pero mas sigurado nga yung sa USB na lang. Go go na.

24/192 naman si Master Paul, since analogue out gamit nya. Pero kung bibili siya ng hiwalay na DAC, then that'd be a bottleneck.

Hindi ko na natroubleshoot masyado as late na kami nakapunta kila DMF. Yung PC nya switches the mainboard's onboard audio (both the Realtek HD Audio codec and audio via the HDMI out) off upon detecting the Via Vinyl Envy24 chip. Pag binunot mo yung sound board, automatic andun ulet. Sayang, naka "Vinyl" na sana si DMF.

Tingin ko software conflict lang, pero hindi na namin ni-pursue masyado. Madami naman daw pera si DMF.

Ang malungkot dun yung video calibration di namin mahabol yung output na na-achieve nung nakaraan. The settings were deleted dahil sa pag system restore. Kailangan effortan muna ulit.

When i installed the current driver of the soundcard, my PC uses the new soundcard as default for all the softwares (powerdvd, windows media player etc) excluding the foobar. haaay, the irony.

So nawala ang HD audio ko.

That might not be a good idea, unless you're thinking of powering the DAC independently.

I was thinkin, instead of a long rca wire for the musiland, i can also opt to use a longer USB cable (25 feet) w/ a shorter rca. But then i can sense from your reply that a long USB wire might implicate current or power loss for the DAC.

Ganda reviews nyan 02 US. The 03 US might be even better.

The brand is a pleasant surprise, as RMAA tests of your 01 US show that the output is actually 5dB cleaner than a very popular USB-equipped option costing 4-5x as much (tago na lang natin sa pangalang VD). It's also 1dB cleaner than another budget option na itago na lang natin sa name na DM. The gap widens to 13dB vs. VD and 9dB vs. DM if you do some upsampling on the data, since walang support for 24-bit over USB yung VD at DM.

The two mentioned options measure well over spdif, but have difficulty keeping up over USB.

Ang ganda na ng bagong interface ng beta drivers ng Musiland, di ko alam kung gusto mo subukan.
