di na lang ako bibili ng spare tire ng Alterra ko na nanakaw, speakers na lang siguro pareho lang ang price eh SCS 01 Bookshelf + SCS 01 Center. Hindi naman siguro ako ma flat tire

The S-series I returned to Mike are actually 02 versions already - the only difference is the cloth grille rather than the metal grille that the upcoming 02 will have. If you buy the last remaining 02 now with cloth grilles then buy metal grilles for them in the future - it would still turn out to be cheaper than buying the upcoming 02 by next month. This is due to Mike's promo in marketing the last few sets.

With the help of SVS, both Mike & I confirmed the ff differences:

1. Box art - the box art graphics of the 02 has the blue logo and text of the new 02 features on the box
2. Tweeter is black on the 02 than the clear/grey tweeter of the 01.
3. Non-shiny dustcap of the midrange in the 02.

As for the STS and SSS speakers, there are no 01/02 of these speakers. They were released later by SVS on the onset with new drivers already. There are also no metal grilles on the STS and SSS speakers - whether new(02) or old (01), they only came with cloth grilles.

To be honest, sonically there's not much difference between the 01 and 02

I replaced my B&W 601s3 speakers with the SVS SSS bipolar surrounds and they're amazing! In physics alone, I get a total of 4 midranges and 4 tweeters with the SSS pair than just 2 tweeters and 2 midranges with the B&Ws.
Its not that just because the SSS should have a louder output as it has more drivers.......its actually how the speaker enclosures are shaped to disperse in an immersive/enveloping way. Add to this the micro-dynamic details that the svs speakers are known for - and you get a totally amazing experience.

If you read the link of the AVS forum I posted awhile back, one user replaced his B&W DS6 surround speakers to SVS SSS surrounds and couldnt be happier

Do take note that the DS6 was selling for 45k before, while the SVS SSS pair only sells for half that.

Anyway, I told him yesterday na pwede na nya ibenta sa iba

I was thinking kasi of replacing my computer speakers with svs speakers, but will delay that upgrade muna.

i've sold all but one set of these (though naka reserve til sunday, una siya sayo dadating, so you will know if kinuha niya or hindi)

most of them i sold without knowing na iba na pala yung drivers, that would also mean na svs was confident that the SQ would be similar.
