i've finally installed the SCS-02's sa demo area.

i'm mulling demo'ing STS-02's but i don't know how to easily switch between the two.

easiest way would be multiple amps, on and off na lang.  but i'd like the receiver to power them sana, so people can see that ordinary receivers can run them.

Try speaker selector boxes. I'm sure that will work.

But that's just a switcher. Nasa connections lang yun. I can't see how it can seriously degrade sound.

'off the shelf' switchers kasi have some sort of impedance limiting device in the chain.

dapat ata magpacustom ng switcher

Mukang pati yung SCS-01s mo sa demo living room nabile ah - congrats to Bry77 ;)

I suggest you still install the SCS-02s in your demo living room parin  :)
This would also be a good time in planning your wall mount para you can easily change speaker wires to test SCS to STS  ;)

Have Weng's cousin make you front metal mounts/brackets.

Kapitana - for HT, it would be nice if your customers can compare the SCS and STS together in one setup and in one audition timeframe. If its not too much, the experience would be more immersive if you can connect the 2 SSS surrounds as well - it completes the experience kasi eh.

SBS - could also be marketed either as a monopole surround, computer speakers or small secondary audio setups.

yes, baka mas malakas ka kay sir jojo :)

for the budget conscious, some use the SSS for surrounds and SBS for surround back.  though there are a lot that use the SBS as their mains.

while thats true - nothing beats using the SCS for LCR purposes. You get dual woofers with the SCS compared to just 1 mid/woofer of the SBS.

bisita ka ulit sir :)

the biggest difference between the 01 and 02 is basically the metal grill.  though the woofer/tweeter/crossover was changed, this was more of a manufacturer change rather than an "upgrade" so they would basically sound alike (which is why they sold both at the same time)

as to comparisons, let's leave the s series users to comment on what brands/models they replaced and why.

i would like to visit again sir mike kaso busy p plus may kalayuan ang place ko but when the time is right i'll definitely be back at graceland  ;)

hi sir, 1-2 months out pa yun (kasabay ng M series)

re: using omni mounts on the center ... i got conflicting advice from SVS about that.

one told me i could use "two" omni mounts for the center
another one told me to just use tox and screw on the keyhole mounts

on the vertical speakers like the SCS-Mains and SBS, no problem daw yung one omni mount lang

paubaya mo sa akin yan Brader Mike, I've some pretty wicked plans in stored for your switcher like bi-lateral and impedance free switching. most important is your receiver and speakers won't even know there's a JD Labs switcher in the chain.  ;)

Would it be possible also to use for the Surround speakers? I've read in SVS website and they're not recommending OMNI mounts for center speakers.

BTW thanks for the S-series I was happy to open two of the boxes (Center and surround) but due to time constraint I have to leave the STS box unopen.
