wala pa sir, since the price of the MCS-02 x2 is too close to the price of the MTS-02.

Thats correct. Plus you get much more from a pair of MTS rather than 2 x MCS at basically the same price.

i do have some customers sharing a 3rd pair of towers to use as their center speaker ... e.g. MTS/STS x 3 pairs = two sets of LCR

Eh?  ::)

MTS lang sir ... since most customers go for towers when they go M, tapos for surrounds, many go for SSS

i guess, until lumabas yung MSS

two woofers vs one ... one quality woofer > two ordinary woofers :)  you know that more than anyone :D

svs has priced the MBS twice that of the SCS, they don't really price something double without double the performance :)

ask sir macdon, even the STS doesn't hold a candle to the MTS (even though it has a lot more woofers)

in short, group buy sila ng 3rd pair tapos hati sila ng tower for their center.  hati kayo ni sir fernan?

I see. I got confused there a bit.

In my recent HT setup, I could probably sneak a lone MTS in the middle as center speaker since both the plasma and the PJ screen is now higher............... but nahh, the Ultra's center position will not allow that :D

Thats what I like about the Ultra - it saves me from upgrades!  ;D

Ayaw ko na kse sa FS eh, mas gusto ko naka wall-mount hehehe... :)

The STS has about the same footprint as the SCS (7" x 8.5"?), sans the footing base. So unless you badly needed the space below your wall mounted SCS, then the STS will be a great upgrade to your SCS.

Price wise, I think that the STS is very close the price of the MBS (correct me if Im wrong). Out of curiosity, you might like to a-b audition both to see how it rates. Parang David vs Goliath yan  ;D
If you end up liking the STS, then its a worthwhile upgrade over the SCS ................ but if you end up liking the MBS, then I'll suggest hiking it up to the MTS as it will give you much, much more!  ;)

Doesnt that give you the same analogy of switching from your 2 x NSD to a lone Ultra?  ;D

yeah, i recommend the bipole over the monopole (even if it was an M series monopole) unless the purpose was multichannel music vs. just plain movies or concerts

Somehow I knew that would be suggested sooner or later  :D

I guess when it comes to SVS - there's always room for more ;D

The SSS are my first bipole speakers and Im enjoying them immensely with bluray media. I get to hear & feel things that I dont get from any of my previous monopole speakers.

If you're gonna compare STS and MBS, then only a pair of MBS would be opened since Mike already has  STS on demo. I really dont see much sense in comparing the MBS and MTS as the latter will always be better.

My personal interest is actually on the MBS-01 and not the MBS-02 - I prefer the 'boutique' drivers of the 01s kasi eh. But for brader Fern, I suggest going the 02s na kasi wala na stock ang 01s eh.

Brader Fern,

Here's a review of the MBS-02 that might help you:

http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/svsound/38792-svsound-mbs-02-speaker-review.html

The reviewer already has the STS-02 in his system when he reviewed the MBS-02, so he naturally mentioned some comparisons between the two in his review.

Hope it serves as a good read  ;)

I agree with brader Tirso...delikado tong session na'to. Mahirap na...baka matablan nanaman ako ng kulam sa magic water ni sir Mike. :P

Seriously though, I regret that I won't make it as I have some place to go to on Saturday, Sept. 24. On Oct. 1 is the championship game of our company basketball sportsfest. Maybe Oct. 7 pwede ako...I will let you know sir Mike. Also, thank you very much for considering me as part of this close-knit session. I very much appreciate that. :)
